Man, i forgot the amount of joy the moomin and snufkin moments in this show gave me

"You stay here, on YOUR OWN!" -he said that like he really HOPED for Sniff to not interrupting his frozen date xD ...and then Sniff appeared and crashed it all. I liked this ep so much, it's like at one point here I had the feeling that Snufkin really wanted to ignore Sniff and focus on Moomin but every time he did, Sniff appeared and destroyed all and Snufkin's ragemeter-went up pretty fast xD I love when these 3 are together xDDDD

I love this scene so much but I was hoping for a moomintroll and Snufkin moment, but then Sniff comes along. It's like the first time Snufkin actually seemed to enjoy himself and it would be so cute if it was just them, and it would give would give some substance/something to work with, to make them seem like really good best friends. Missed opportunity if you asked me (that or it's just that the 1990's version spoiled me with Moomintroll/Snufkin moments).

That was a common thing that happened in the 90's cartoon actually. In order to make Sniff follow the gang into areas he thought scary, they would always say something along the lines with "I guess you'll stay here, on your o w n". Making Sniff realize he'd rather be scared but with them, than alone and even more scared - and so he would follow them.

@@kitcat2449 moomintroll has been shown to be more willing to hangout w snufkin rather than any one else including snorkmaiden. the moominvalley voice cast has also said that he would rather be with snufkin than snorkmaiden. in the books moomintroll does many things that imply romantic interest such as "admiring snufkins outline" and saying he "likes him a lot but doesnt say it." if you look at the way moomintroll speaks about snufkin in moominvalley you can clearly see that he talks about him in a lovey-dovey way especially when hes talking to snorkmaiden about snufkin in the 2nd episode. in the 3rd or 4th episode, he waves at snufkin and sighs fondly followed by saying "how could this get any more perfect." a greater example is a written script for a play, though im unsure if it was just a mistranslation, or if there really was a planned "kiss scene" with snufkin and moomintroll in the play. snufkin has also stated that moomintroll is the only person and/or thing hes ever tied himself to, promising to return every year first day of spring. yes theres no explicit statement of moomintroll being romantically interested in snufkin, or snufkin being romantically interested in moomintroll, but with all of this we sure can conclude at least on moomins side, theres something more than just the desire to be best friends

Snufkin is too precious for this world

I love that this Snufkin says a lot of lines almost too passionately just like his 90’s counterpart did, it’s cute :)

In 2020, i really got into Moomin. Like, REALLY into it. It was one if my first fandoms. I remember when there was barely any Moominvalley content on YT and that I got super excited when this was uploaded (i’m in the US, so I didn’t have access to Moominvalley because it had just come out). Four years later, this video comes across my recommended page. To this day, I still cherish Moomin and its community. Thank you op for uploading this video, it gave me a lot of positive memories ❤️
