I think the letter writer had a great sense of humor, as did and does Mooji. I also think that Mooji realized the person who wrote the letter is using humor. He did answer the guys question, and I think the guy already knew the answer to the question.

Typical thought from the conditioned mind: "Sexual feelings are dirty, so I have to repress them". By not accepting them as a natural and innocent part of exprience, they get strong and out of control :D I love that the guy took up the question and exposed this part, because he really needs to lighten up :D Plus you can´t PLAN to become a spritual leader

There are two ways to interpret the reactions of the audience here. Of course it`s funny, because as a religious and specially enlightened person, you are supposed to grow beyond sexual needs and satisfaction. But here the «true nature» of a man (the author of the letter) is revealed: He still feels sexual attraction when he meets beautiful women. So do the audience, and the almost hysterical laughter shows that they know exactly what the he is writing about! - My impression is that this lying about the value of our bodies and the negative thinking about our sexuality is getting stronger in the «Enlightenment Movement». I hear between the lines when these «Gurus» talk that «if you want to grow spiritually, you need to stay pure - and that means avoiding any sexual feelings!» - It`s a pity, because it’s a lie, and it makes it so hard for a lot of people to believe in their own spiritual growth. - I am disappointed that Mooji doesn’t have the courage to talk seriously about this. When I watch all the video`s where women want to sit close to Mooji, touch his hands and feel his presence, it`s not only about spirituality, it`s also about being physically close to him. And my point is that it`s nothing wrong with that. What`s wrong is that we have - just like the Christian church has done for centuries - created a false barrier between spiritual growth and accepting and enjoying our own bodies. I listened to Krishnamurti talking about this in a video a few days ago, and he described with sadness the thousands of Buddhist monks who punished themselves the hardest possible way in the hope that they would eventually be able to resist sexual feelings. Krishnamurti wasn`t only spiritual and intelligent, he was also honest!

Thank you for this clever comment, I myself try to evolve in spirituality, and at 35 of age, I still want to have a woman in my life and sexual happy life, because I thinnk it's natural. Being attracred to a beautiful woman is not only a sexual question it's also about love and deep feelings, there is nothing wrong with falling in love, what is wrong is making frustration all over the world with these silly avoidances. Sorry for my english I'm french ;-)

Romy I share your view and wish you all the best in your growth - as a physical human with the need to love and be loved with all your feelings, and also as a spiritual being who knows that life also has a depth and meaning beyond our bodies! (The spiritual dimension is not supposed to replace the purpose of our bodies, but to co-exist with it as long as we live here on Earth).

After watching and learning from (and about) Mooji for a while, I'm pretty sure the satsang was actually laughing more at the irony of the letter and the nature of the questions themselves (rather than the writer), since these topics are exactly what Mooji himself has repeatedly come under major scrutiny for. I've personally learned to "kill the Buddha", but before that revelation I really suffered with the contradictions between his teachings and the stories that have come out of his satsang. It seems pretty clear to any who have bothered to look that Mooji has had an interesting ebb and flow with his romantic relationships in life, and that many visitors to satsang have struggled with this unexpected revelation along with some other (seemingly contradictive) aspects of his behavior. I don't feel the need to explain those any further here. However, I do now believe that whenever we do find perceived flaws within our spiritual teachers, this actually offers us the unique opportunity to learn how to stop the habit of looking only outwardly for revelation (to certain inspired guides/teachers /prophets as a source for enlightenment) and learn to look inside and trust ourselves first as a foundation for discovering the divine within. As the Buddha himself said (more or less): "If, when walking down the road to enlightenment, you happen to come upon the Buddha, you must kill the Buddha." What does this mean? The Buddha nature is within us all, but when we put others up on pedestals, we perpetuate the perspective of separation and thereby forget this truth.

This stuff is hilarious. I loved it. . On a side note: (after reading some comments here). . Please don't expect Mooji to be a goody toshes. Spiritual masters (teachers, whatever), can be very harsh sometimes. This happens mostly because they may (will) have trouble seeing things from the perspective of the egoic mind. Don't forget that they are, (roughly speaking), bathing in happiness. He will answer based on the energy of the moment - not necessarily socially appropriate. Expecially since this is a letter, and as such, it is even more susceptible to subjective interpretation. I did however not like that his answer happened to be so small and uninformative. But such is life - it is not here to please anyone. . Laugh if you can.

Is publicly making fun of someone who is opening his heart asking for guidance (even if I agree that this person comes from a somewhat lower awareness) acceptable behaviour for a man of Mooji's stature? Isn't this a clear example of why we should not follow someone blindly, expecting he/she to be infallible in his/her every word or action? The lesson I learned here is that we should not judge anyone for good or for bad. For every light being carries a seed of darkness. Just as every being who today inhabits a darker place has the potential to find the light. Mooji is an extraordinary person and obviously does a lot of good to this planet. Some of his messages are capable of bringing hope to people in need, let's just not forget that he is a human being just like all of us.

Andy Zaremba one must remember mooji has no mercy on the ego. you will not see him being sensitive in that sort of way.. when it is obviously just the mind speaking, and tripping ovr itself. the sensitivity extends to the masses of human kind that are under the spell of suffering, and looking to wake up. it is way more immense. he answered the question clearly at the end. stating that the writer should not be holding satsang and obviously has to stabilize in the Awareness before extending his own teachings/pointings

Liana Nicas thank you. Mentioning the person's name brings up an interesting point. Once a guru is accepted as a satguru, he can do no wrong- he is a healer. Even using name will evoke healing. That's the guru culture. Aside from that, irony causes laughter. I suspect that letter was so perfect it left no place to hide. It tickled their denial nerve.

I think it was fine given the context, if someone claims to be self-realized, this should be no problem. And the answer was appropriate, aside from maybe the implication that his pleasures he fantasies has to be greedy.

audience got no point what the man in the letter is talking about. They gone another way leading to the same result but this only shows his their spiritual pride. mooji surely knows how to help him and he surely is laughing out of another reason, but this people in the audience got nothing to laugh otherwise they wont visit mooji....Hope the writer still got moojis answer and can forget about laugher. Maybe this one can help some people who are in the same condition: If you know that you are "that one thing", than you also must know, that everybody else is, too. There is no need to help. You experienced one-ness and maybe others dont, but you didnt felt it befor, too, right? How did you get there? Did you really had teacher via KZread and Co or was is your growing understanding and believe in the self what is guiding you? If you experienced one-ness and know "felt back" to noral mind, but the memeory and knowledge remains, than maybe your "work" now is first to learn to commicate as a soul. forget again about the concept your are now having of the self. its a great oe but it has to left like the other concepts, too. You dont know how to "free" other beings. They will be automatically free, if you are totally free. then it remains in silence. I know its hard to go this step ot knowing if everybody else "is following", but trust me, we are following you wherever you go. we are not a step behind and we are not a step infront of you. we are one with you if you want to be one with us

as explained at the end, mooji thought the guy in the letter was trying to be humorous. i thought it was quite funny, theres nothing wrong with that. mooji answered his question very well, albeit a short answer. theres nothing wrong with people laughing. they were enjoying the moment it seems to me that they kind of liked the guy as did i. can you absolutely know that they are showing their spiritual pride? in my experience they seemed like happy loving people. i think the spiritual pride you project onto the people in this video is your own. why be annoyed? it seems like its a good piece of conditioning that can be inquired on

FollowTheHolyTrinity I get what you are saying...it's that unspoken and unexplained sense of being and once you feel that freedom, then everything and everyone around you is also free.

YOU are so right on. There is always someone trying to be so deep they get over sensitive. The guy clearly states in the letter that what he was about to share could be quite humorous...and it was. Mooji spoke a few words and yet it was volumes of revelation.

All of this for nothing. Get so tired of these youtube wanna be gurus with their agendas. HOW ARROGANT to think that you can say which points the audience got or did not. YOU the great mind reader. You the reader of hearts. YOU THE JUDGE based on laughter. Then you write this long piece of NOTHING please have several seats already.
