Merci beaucoup Stazma, this is such a good video, you’re instructions are perfectly paced and . . . oooh yeah - what a funky acid sound you got out of the G.Mother. I have one arriving in the post in a few days and will definitely come back to this. Au revoir P E A C E : )

This is one of the best videos on sequencing that I've seen so far. Thanks! I know that I"m going to have questions so if it's okay with you, when I get them, I'll ask away! Feel free to check out some of my videos too. I like what you're doing here!

Thank you for the lesson. When I first got my Grandmother, I couldn't watch videos and learn because everything went over my head, now that I've been working with it for a few years, I can watch all sort of tutorials on it and learn something new every time. However, something I am struggling with, how did you get the beats from Ableton to sync up with it?

  • @Stazma

I added the beat in post prod of the video but you can easily sync it via Midi.

This is really helpful as I'm pretty new to synth and I've had the GM for a few months now. Do you have any tips on inputting the sequence, like how many steps and what scales or modes work good for this style? Also was hoping you would have some advice on using the acid glide mode. Thanks!

Glad it's helpful ! About step lenght there is no rules but the classic would be 16 step as on a classic acid box. Odd meters can wrok very well tho, like 5 ot 10 steps sequences, as well as 12 or 14. As a fan of melodic, even melancholic acid (Analord style) I use mostly harmonic and melodic minor scales or the Locrian mode, but once again it is pretty much up to you.

A choisir un seul je prendrais le Grandmother car il peut faire plus de chose sans pour autant être galère pour faire de l'acid. Aussi il faut aimer les séquenceurs type 303/202, c'est pas pour tout le monde hehehe.

I have no idea to be honest as I never tried but looking at the front panel and connexions I would say yes.
