Yeah it was sad to see, especially in this sort of scenario because he was a director on several of the films. Some might argue he was the brains of the operation, or at least the closest thing they had to it. And to see him take such little part in a conversation which i believe he was most eligible to engage in, makes it even sadder.

Who loves The Meaning of Life then?
RIP to Terry Jones. The Python crew were very active around this time as they were promoting their gigs at the 02. In the interviews, Terry was notably quieter in this time, and when he did speak he seemed a bit confused (understandably). He was great comedian, director, writer, and a historian. A man of many talents.

In my country not many people used to speak english, so I guess the show wasn't very popular or known here. But I just discovered their sketches on youtube a few days ago and after watching a lot of them I saw the movies. I already love this guys.

These men are legendary!
If you haven't seen it, John Cleese in "Fawlty Towers" is GENIUS!
Funny thing about Meaning of Life is that even though it's not their best film I can't say what's wrong with it. Every bit, especially the ones that didn't make me laugh, were bizzare and weird in a way that made the movie unique and incredible. I can't imagine any bit of the film taken out, everything is important and lovable. By the way, it's nice to see all the Pythons in one room again (Idle is now a computer software? ok). The fact that they are still friends makes me so happy.
monty python, a time when P.C didn't have control. a time when a joke didn't get you jail time, a moment of laughter and shame never a dull moment or word of pure hatred. Monty Python IS the meaning of life.
Eric Idle has the best epitaph: "Say no more" ... Mel Blanc's autobiography is titled "That's Not All, Folks!" and his tombstone reads "That's All Folks!"
The Meaning of Life was their best film IMO. Some seriously experimental stuff going on in there. The Crimson Permanent Assurance kills me every time. Gilliam was a spectacular director. And the live organ transplant bit is just amazing.

I don't think Terry Gilliam has a trans/mid Atlantic accent, it's American. Kelsey Grammar and John Lithgow have trans/mid Atlantic accents (both wonderful!).
There are together only for a few minutes and the laughs start flowing.

I love these guys so much!! You are missed Terry Jones. The meaning of life was the first monty pythons thing I ever saw back in the 80s and I was instantly a fan.
Great to see them together, Monty Python's comedy is iconic.
I love the way John laughs when Eric mentions Graham's sense of timing and will be late showing up. Also the way Terry J looks at John when he says "which chair is for me" - says it all.

This reunion is so precious and gorgeous👍👍👍👍👍. I love these guys. 😍❤️
loved this movie. Still watch it once a year.
I'm always saying that Grail and Brian are Python's two major movies. That doesn't mean that I don't like "The Meaning of Life", tho. I do tend to see Meaning as a sort of swan song. It's like an episode of the Flying Circus blown up to the silver screen. Which isn't bad at all -- it's a very satisfying, in fact. While not as important as Grail and Brian IMHO, I see it as quite fitting that Python put a full stop to their ouevre by making a cinematic episode 46 of the Flying Circus (an interpretation I want to support by mentioning that Liberty Bells was played at the end).

Rubjerg I actually think Meaning Of Life was the Python’s best film. It’s the funniest and sharpest film in my opinion. Likely because I love Flying Circus and seeing them go bonkers for one last hurrah always brings a smile to my face. R.I.P to Terry J and Graham.
“What I’m frightened of is an afterlife. I don’t want any of that.” Fucking THANK YOU!
Just can't wait for the reunion in july next year , hopefully will get 2 tickets on monday before they are all sold out , love you all you funny people :)
A collection of fine gents who all shaped me during my formative years. Much love.
I wish people stopped saying stuff like "oh, they're so old, but so funny". WHAT'S so outrageous about it? they've done more fresh, silly and bold things than generations of youth.
What a treat -- Monty Python as brilliant as ever! Cheers.
