The back story to Fawlty Towers, is that the character of Basil Fawlty is based on a real hotel manager... . The guys were staying in a hotel and did not like the place so all left, but John Cleese stayed on to take notes on the guy...

The customer is played by Michael Palin. He was in 'A fish called Wanda' and has become the most well known ex Python by doing several worldwide travel TV documentaries and other TV work. He often comes top in lists such as who would you want to be marooned on a desert island with because he seems such a nice guy.

woohoo a great choice of clip to react to! There are many more of course but you chose well! Graham Chapman is the person who is the abuser. He co-wrote (with Cleese) the "Argument Clinic" as well as the "Dead Parrot Sketch" which I highly recommend in reacting to. Monty Python Dead Parrot v=vZw35VUBdzo Chapman unfortunately died really young at the age of 48.

*Cleese* rhymes with *Cheese,* which I've just found out today is his father's original surname, and other *"Z"* sounding *"S"* words like *Bees, Keys, Trees, Knees, Seas, Fees, Peas, Teas* etc. *Cleese* does not rhyme with *"S"* sounding words like *Peace, Geese, Lease, Grease, Reece, Cease, Fleece* etc.

It'd be interesting to see you react to 'Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl' from 1980. It's quite a long video, but you could probably split into parts and it is just them performing some of their more popular sketches, though they don't included 'The Parrot Sketch' which is often seen as their best sketch. In fact, you should react to the Parrot Sketch, the best one is when they did it at the Policeman's Ball charity show.

Same Kid!! I played Catcher at high school and university, like many Japanese girls I played on the boy's/men's team as we wanted to play baseball not softball. My team just lost out on the chance to represent Japan at the LLWS 😣😣 I am a MASSIVE Yankees fan. I grew up idolizing Derek Jeter. Jeter was such a pro, just kept his head down and focused on his baseball. I was in tears watching his walk off RBI at his last home game. 😭

@@DoctorAkikoFukuwara I used to play *Baseball* (or *Rounders* as we call it in the UK) in *Primary School* as the main sport in *P.E.* and occasionally at *Scouts* as a teenager. I was the guy who would be standing the furthest distance away from the batter in a straight line, as I caught everyone out. If it went within roughly 10 metres either side of me, you could guarantee I'd catch them out. I was the best catcher out of everyone. Most kids couldn't understand that you have to move your arms and hands in the direction the ball is going to slow down the force, while bending your fingers into a spider shade, cupping your hand/hands and closing them as soon as the ball touches your palm, to catch the ball and stop it bouncing back out again. Most adults seem to struggle with that simple concept of how to catch something. I used to throw and spin things like wine bottles up in the air constantly at my old job for 8+ years, and my work mates would get worried thinking I would drop them, but I never did. It's the same with most things like racing a *trolley* (or *shopping cart* as Americans would say) around a supermarket, or standing up with no hands without falling over on a bus. It's all about adjusting small things like your fingers, palm, wrist, elbows, knees, feet etc slightly to make a massive difference with your control.
