all we see are the tourist areas, Montreal is so much more...the very dense residential neighbouhoods where the people actually live, they are so unique and full of life and charm....
Saying that people in Montreal commonly speak French is an understatement. C'est la langue officiele du Quebec
Jeff You are a "freaking machine". Just killing it with all this work. Thank you ! 🙏
Love Montreal! Such a great city!

I like seeing the inside of the Cathedrals, not a 5 min tour but a 15 second pan of the worship hall and other feautures you think is cool, despite modern architecture they are often the most architecturally endowed structures in the city. They tend to be the oldest standing structures but because they are associated to religion, "modern critics" like to spit on them, not because they aren't beautiful or worth showing, but because the impression of what they think the Churchs uphold. I've seen many videos and you've only shown 1 and keep claiming "you guys say 'xyz'" or "if you've seen one, you've seen them all". I could easily diminish all the cities you travel and say "seen one city seen them all" it wouldn't make it true... being a Phoenix native myself. like your videos, being a Phoenix native myself, I really enjoy your videos.
Perfect!!! 🇨🇦🍁
Even tho toronto has more population. Montreal will always be the #1 city in Canada in my opinion. This comes from someone who came from Toronto

The beautiful city ever.👍💯
What you walked by and thought was the set up for a concert was the prep for the Montreal International Jazz Festival. Your breakfast was on a bagel, not a baguette. Baguette means stick of bread. There are paddle boats in the Old Port, they were visible in your video. In 1535: Jacques Cartier Deems the Mountain Royal In awe of the luxuriant landscape, or perhaps in honour of his king, Jacques Cartier named this mountain “Mont Royal”. What's cool about the Biosphere is the view from it. There is wildlife on the island that is visible from the Biosphere.
Very beautiful city. Thank you for the tour.
omg! i hope you stayed for the jazz festival, it was amazing this year!

@@IslandHopperTV the problem with old Quebec City, is no one lives there, there is no life, stores are cheap, restaurants are for tourists. Old Montreal is full of life , amazing boutiques and restaurants, cafes, people actually live there, absolutely different from Quebec. old Quebec is a tourist trap.

15:41 Bonjour! The name of that mountain was given by Jacques Cartier in 1535 in honnor of the king of France. 40 years later the village took the name Montréal and became a city in 1642. Bienvenue dans notre beau Québec! (prononce Kay Bec) 16:31 It's not a téléphone, it's in there that you can buy some parking time, You put money in and a card comes out that you put on the dash of your car to save you the police ticket ..... lol. 25:20 That is the 1967 U.S. pavillion for the international exposition. Good job mister!

Also in OLD french REAL was what today is ROYAL. So REAL meant ROYAL Littré (1872-1877) RÉAL (ré-al, a-l') adj.
Wellcome in my city.👍For the Exposition it was in 1967.
Personally I would've shown the Cathedral of Notre Dame because of it's relation to Notre Dame in Paris. It's historical above and beyond the Religion itself. Being Catholic I made it a point to go to Mass there because of that but also because I've never celebrated Mass in French before and it was a new experience for me in that respect but it is a beautiful building, also inside, regardless of it's purpose.
A nice clean city!

OMG the dome was the USA pavillion at expo 1967 aand Walt Disney came to Montreal and copy the Dome for EPCOT centre at DisneyWorld .... you missed a lot of famous places in Montreal ,,, Summer is very hot( from 80 to 95 F ) from june to end of August ... about the same weather as New York ... You missed the Belvedere at the top of the Montain looking a t the above the Skyscrapers that are not allowed to go higher than the mountain
Another note what about visiting BOTA BOTA on the St-Laurent river in Montréal, look it up

Notre Dame church is not a cathedral but a basilica, an honour accorded by Pope JohnPaul II. The actual cathedral is ‘Mary Queen of the World’, modeled on St Peter’s of Rome.

Also, check out the ethnic enclaves, including those of the Middle Easterners, Greeks, Italians, and Jews. In fact, my own Cote St. Luc plus Hampstead are predominantly Jewish suburbs, and those plus the areas down Van Horne Ave. up until about Park Avenue are full of Jewish life!
