The greater Montreal is 4.7 million , inlcuding the island of Montreal ( 10 times the size of Manhattan ) the south and north shores of the Island ( 10 km away from the island ).

Vancouver ( 70 ,000 trees in the city ) is not as green as Montreal with the largest urban parks in CAnada and the most sustainable city in the world ( 2 million trees in the city , on the island 10 times the size of Manhattan). Vancouver is a car centric city , 32 nd worst trafic city in the world and polluted ( Tom Tom tarfic index 2023 ) . Vancouver has a lot of social issues with crimes , homeless and drugs .

Wow another stunning video Israel, makes me want to visit Montreal right away!!! Oh wait......I actually live in Montreal lollll......But in all seriousness, your drone shots are TRULLY AMAZING!!!! Never did I view my city through a totally different perspective, now all thanks to you :) ps: for yourself and anyone who visits the city in the future, I'd highly recommend La Releve Gourmande Teaching Restaurant, it's a culinary-school-run restaurant hosted by future-chef-students, offering set menus with fine quality at really really cheap prices, their desserts are simply exceptional, a real hidden gem in the city :)

Montreal has 2 million trees in the city and # 1 most sustaianable city i the world ( the greenest and largest urban parks in Canada) Vancouver has 65,000 in the city of cars , concrete and glass building and the 32 nd worst city for traffic in the world and pollution ( Tom Tom trafic index 2023 ) , all the parks are outside Vancouver . VAncouver is the capital of homeless, drugs and crimes ( Surrey is #1 most dangerous city in CAnada ). People are living in skyscrapers with no sense of community . Banff is in Alberta , the worst province for environment with fossil fuels contaminating lakes, rivers and producing 41 % of CAnada s greenhouse gas (Co2) destroying our forests and wildlife ..

Great video! The reason for the unique architecture on the Plateau was for economic reasons. By putting the staircases outside the buildings, you could build buildings with more appartements, therefore more people could live in them. And these buildings were initially built close to the main factories back in the day. This way, more people could live closer to their workplace. Public transportation was not as efficient at that time.

You are right it is a bit rude to think that you are granted to be replied in english in a french speaking society. It is even worst in France where to be polite is to show respect and formality that to be casual and friendly .

There is a contest between New York and Montreal regarding bagels ..... Montreal people are well cultivated and connected to europeans countries and North america culture including Mexico . Toronto and Vancouver are more asian cities with 50 % of Chinese and Indians living in ghettos.

You should visit Quebec city ( Oldest city in North america) the birth place of Canada 500 years ago ,, Charlevoix region and Gaspésie. All you see on vidoes and pictures of CAnada are the Rockies ( Banff) and west coast (Vancouver )and Toronto . These places are overrated . We have the easter rockies in Quebec ( underrated) the CHic Chocs Mountains , Gaspé rigion and Charlevoix region with 13 species of whales including Belugas and Blue Whales . The largest estuary in the world and longuest fjord( Saguenay ) .
