Pizza was born in Naples, Italy, around the 18th, and it's based on a traditional dish that dates back to the ancient romans. Italian immigrants brought it to the USA. However the American version of pizza is different from the one they make in Italy, so I wouldn't compare them tbh. But yeah pizza is Italian

I’ve had quite a few pizzas the US, and a lot of them were really nice. But the best pizza I have ever had by a long way was in a small restaurant in mountainous Northern Italy. I’ve had a lot of great pizzas in the US, but none of them even compete with that single one from Italy.
