Here are my personal tips: 1- ginger is so good as well but be careful it increases the flow which helps your ''body'' clean itself faster which means getting rid of the cramps sooner, chamomile is good too... 2- shower with warm water 3- avoid tight clothes 4- always use a heating pad even if you don't have cramps since it helps the flow happen easily 5- avoid icecream and cold things at last in your first days 6- relax your body, especially your back, and legs 7- keep warm it really reduces the pain and helps the flow 8- it's normal for your legs to hurt because the long bones are where blood is created so keep them warm 9- move, don't just lay everywhere, move your body every now and then, it helps to get everything out easier 10- wear socks or sleppers around the house to keep your feet warm 11- drink A LOT of water to help replacing the blood you lost take care ladies

Girls if you're struggling with hormonal imbalance and extreme cramps start including organic honey into your diet, especially the week before your period. It helped me so much💙

Hi Doro, I wanted to say how much I appreciate your self care tips. I have been using flaxseed for my hair, vitamin c for my textured skin, and make my bed every morning. These steps seem simple but since I started to follow your advice I realized how important self care is for self growth! You are a blessing for ladies of all ages and levels of confidence. Manifesting only good things for you. ✨️

When I change to a new pad I like to rinse myself , sometimes in the shower but just the v area or is even better using a hand bidet Wich I do with a water bottle with a hole in the cap...it might sound extrange...but I learned this from traveling and really rinsing every time I change feels so much more clean and fresh 😎
Hi Doro!! I just wanted to let you know that this video was a life changer for me!! I have always experienced my period as a bad moment of the month, but thanks to you I was and I still am able to experience it much more peacefully. I absolutely love your tips, which have now become a must when I'm on my period! Lots of love 💕
Thank you for making this video and normalizing this topic! I feel like I'm just now getting good at managing mine, and I'm 47! 😊
Thank you for this. I definitely recommend adding a zip lock plastic bag to the period pouch for soiled underwear. I find period underwear gives an extra layer of protection too. And for those of us with endometriosis and heavy periods- always have high strength painkillers at hand and make sure you won't run out. Know where the closest toilet is and keep close to a toilet where possible. My pain can get so bad that I vomit and faint. Once I didn't have painkillers on a flight and had to be given oxygen. I work from home when I have my period, so I can use a heating pad/hot water bottle and stay close to the toilet as tampons can't absorb enough and pads often last 5 - 20 minutes. It's common for me to have to change my underwear and clothing 2 - 3 times per day due to excessive bleeding and clots. I just can't leave the house on these days. I mention this so that other sufferers know they are not alone. Women with heavy flow should also take lots of vitamin C and iron. For those of you who struggle with the pain, start the painkillers when you first feel the slightest twinge. Don't wait for it to get bad. On the plus side, you'll probably find the pain of child birth a breeze. :)

Oh god and I thought my pain was bad.
This definitely opened my eyes thank you so much, your a real life saver
I would add that keeping a peri wash bottle in the medicine cabinet is great if you just want to rinse down there and freshen up a bit.
Peroxide immediately on underwear and sheets is a lifesaver!
I used to have extremely painful periods and always needed my heating pad but my bf got me rasberry leaf tea at target and he said his sister used it omg life changing I don't have pain anymore I wish I had this in my 20s

Wow,at 50 ,I'm still learning!!!Thank you
Tips to follow: 1.Shower twice a day. 2.Wear lightweight underwear. 3.Drink hibiscus tea. 4.Change your menstrual products. 5.Change your bedsheets and towels every 3rd day. 6.Use a heating pad. 7.Carry a period kit which include pads, disposable bag, newspaper, pain killer and hand sanitizer.

This is such a wonderful video for those preteens some girls dont have a mom to let them now about these things ..Well Done !
Good tips. Truly professional advice. 10/10 recommend to women all over the world! ☺️👍👍Super like!
These hacks were very useful, I didn't know about the vitamin C or the hibiscus tea, I'm definitively trying them. What surprised me was the frequency of the changes: I'm Italian and here the times are completely different, like both doctors and nurses tell you to change the tampons evey hour, 1.5 hours max while the pads can stay on for 6-8 hours (as much as you should sleep at night)....my best friend's grandma was a nurse and when we started our periods she told us to absolutely change our tampon every hour since she had to be in the operationg chamber helping doctors a few times during the operations that toke 4-6 hours and every single time she developed an infection since she didn't have the opportunity to change her tampon. When I was swimming our instructors said the same. We probably have different tampons, made with different materials.

Hi beautiful ♥️ Aw I’m glad you find it useful ✨ love you tons
Wish I found this before, okay I’m older but had always troubles with my periods. It became so difficult at my age of 53 I had a hysterectomy due a medical issue. I hope you reach a lot of young woman that have issues. Cramps I would use heating pads and if I’m out and about I had s.o.s heating pads it’s something I found in Germany it says regelschmerz-pflaster. Rough translation periodpain plasters. It’s like those heating pads you can find in hiking stores. And those from Germany upholds around 12 hours. I live in Belgium 🇧🇪
Vitamin C is a Godsend for periods. I read you should start getting extra in your diet about a week before you think it'll start to help your body prepare for rebuilding the uterun lining and keep getting extra throughout it so it's easier on your body. So helpful. You're like the best big sis youtube could have Doro! 💜

Hibiscus tea is amazing
These tips are very useful thank you soo much!
Hibiscus tea is the holy grail when it comes to periods. I used to have cramps so bad I couldn't walk until about 2 months ago when my mom suggested hibiscus. 2 weeks in my cycle was basically cramp free. Of course I get the occasion discomfort but it's not unbearable it's more like the irritation of being on my period. I would so recommend that tea to anyone with cramps or hormonal imbalance
Great info even for adults. Thanks!!

For stomach cramps, whole flaxseeds are the best. I take 1 tablespoon, for beginners take 1-2 teaspoon a day. Don’t chew, swallow with help of water. Your period going to catch you surprise cause of no pain.

They should really show this video to young girls in school.
This video found me at the perfect time im due my period but, it kind of came at a bad time I've jusy finished my school holiday and im back at school tomorrow but, teachers never let you go to the toilet during lesson and theres always people just sitting in the toilets at break and lunch which is very inconvenient for people who actually need the toilet, even when they're asked if they can come out so people can use the toilets they just sit there, also i get very bad cramps and can't take a heat pack/ hot water bottle to school i always have painkillers/nurofen with me but they don't always work 😢
I got my period today and I got a so bad cramp I laid on the floor for 10 minutes while sweating. After a while, I took a pain relief and laid down with a cold towell on my stomach. And in the end I stopped sweating and the cramp went away. That was my first PAINFULL cramp 😢

My grandma showed me to pour hydrogen Peroxide over the spot of clothing that has blood on them. It bubbles up and comes out and then just soap and water. 🙂🙌🫶 Thanks, Gma. & thank you for these videos. IM SURE it'll help many young ladies. 🙂

Do not get soap inside. Boiled salt water is best. Vaginal odor will also change to some extent.
Another tip is using hydrogen peroxide to lift blood out of underwear. Rinse underwear with cold water. Ring them out, and then pour the hydrogen peroxide on areas with blood. Let that sit for at least ten minutes. Then rinse the underwear again with cold water and then toss them in the washing machine using cold water.
i love ur heat pad
We use old salepapers to wrap them up
