I can't tell you how it lifts my confidence level to watch Jenny say "my block might be a little lumpy in the middle", or "my edges don't quite line up". I run into all these things all the time when I sew, and sometimes I get discouraged because it's not perfect. This makes me feel so much better!

This is one of the REASONS I love Jenny's tutorials so much!! "Another one of her sayings that I've heard in my head from time to time since I began quilting in 2012 is " Finished is BETTER than PERFECT." Jenny's right. My husband's GMA used to say "Love is homemade. Machine might be PERFECT, but the love was never stitched into a PERFECT Quilt!!! His GMA was amazing. She taught me sooo much things I still used today, 42 yrs after she passed from cancer. Our daughter (and her 2 younger brothers) were baptized in a Christening Dress that had 10 yds of Tatted WHITE lace all over. The dress, the long slip and the bonnet had white tatted lace on it, as well as a white blanket. My MIL made the long dress, the long slip, blanket & bonnet. The most precious thing was that GMA tatted that white lace WHILE she was receiving CHEMO because she was diagnosed with Liver Cancer. Jenny, thank you for bringing such JOY into everyone's lives. I never miss a day reading/watching videos from MSQC. Thanks to the MSQC Family......it takes a lot of people to make MSQC work like a well oiled machine. I truly wish I could move to Hamilton, MO, and WORK for MSQC.....in any capacity. I've learned so much about quilting from Jenny. I'm so happy that my MIL taught me how to sew 42 yrs ago, OVER the PHONE no less! My MIL is 92 yrs YOUNG...... Again, thanks so much Jenny! Happy Belated B-day too! :)

There are 'other' videos out there I would NEVER attempt, but the fact you're just you...and you aren't shy about showing the 'wonkies' that almost always come up, and show how to resolve it. For all of you that do much of your quilting standing up...take a load off and try sitting. I have to because I have problems standing but I can do whatever I need to do seated. Jenny, you taught me how to quilt 8 years ago when I barely know how to mend. Thank you for that.

I love the running commentary! Sometimes, without realizing it, I talk to myself (and the machine!) wondering out loud why, if I have cut everything perfectly, the block or whatever still needs to be trimmed or coaxed into place. The Best Press suggestion is very helpful! If I have to pick out a seam several (or more) times, I have found if I spray a small amount of Magic Sizing on the seam and lightly run my finger back and forth over the seam and then press, the dreaded needle holes will disappear.

I have a trim-a-tip tool, that you can use for the points, you trim off the 1/4" offset. I find it MUCH easier to get my diamonds lined up that way

Jenny, thank you for this beautiful block! I keep making quilt tips and then getting stuck at the point where you have to sandwich the quilt and add the backing - oh, and add a border. I don’t have a big table and I find it really hard to square off the quilt top and to cut or prepare the backing at the right size/trim the sandwich. In fact I find cutting the scariest part of quilting!! Would you perhaps be able to do a tutorial on the finishing stages, please? Then maybe one day I will finish one of my quilts ... Thank you so much for all you do xx

Loved this video!!!! You are so realistic & that is refreshing and encouraging even for competent quilters. So much fun to follow along, and your sense of humor makes my day. I love the yellow in the middle, brilliant pop of color, and it makes that star stand out.

This video hadn't even finished before I clicked the link to subscribe to this BOTM. I'm so excited to see those amazing fabrics!!! I hope this leads to more programs to come from you guys. Month #1 is on the way!! Thank you for your willingness to show the "less than perfect" aspects of the block because it is reassuring to know that this stuff happens to everyone - experienced and new alike - and the "deal" will only be as big as I choose to make it.

I’m right there with you Jenny on the anglely challenge issue. I’m dyslexic also so I’m numerically challenge as well 😂. You tickle me to death. I laughed so hard on the last video of this series. I just love your personality and I don’t mind the licking 😂
