Montgomery (mb. OTIS) Hydraulic Elevators - 170 Columbus Ave - San Francisco, CA
Ғылым және технология
[Recorded 6-17-22] Here is a random office building that we stumbled into that has an interesting elevator setup for such a low-rise building. Two cars only serve the garage underneath and two other cars serve the above-ground offices. All four cars were originally Montgomery elevators and they were probably really cool. They've all been modernized by OTIS and while the mod is nice, it's just boring lol. The motor are also so quiet, which is a good thing for the everyday rider but not for us elevator nerds.

Monty doors, Otis mod, and is that a Dover attitude? Or did the doors just shut quickly (basically Westinghouse, but ADA compliant)? Anyway, not bad, stainless steel is kind of beautiful, but it’s everywhere. And blue LEDs are so incredibly harsh. Thank goodness they don’t have that annoying, impossible-to-hear Otis falling-pitch chime, as well
