Part 2: • Montell Jordan on Bein...
Part 4: • Montell Jordan on Pion...
Part 1: • Montell Jordan on Grow...
--------
In this clip, Montell Jordan talked about some of his early musical influences inside and out of the church. He recounted being in a Christian group but was extremely tall and wanted to play basketball. However, he realized early on that he couldn’t play that well and wouldn’t excel in the sport after the reaction he received for getting his first in-game dunk.
Montell Jordan also talked about his days in college at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. While at Pep, Montell recalled pledging Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc and how he went through the old school process before the anti-hazing crackdown.

'This is how we do it' is a good song for anything. You can play it at a wedding, party, working out, driving, cookout, chilling, etc. Its one of the few songs that matches any occasion.

I am truly enjoying this interview. I love the way he’s painting the pic of each scenario. Kinda like Fat Joe when he tells his stories.
Wow, I never looked at it that way. The thing that you do best that you love to do. ✊🏿
BLUΦ Prez!!! Way to share Montel, my pops was a great Nupe!!
Listening to this made me tear up
He's wrong. Pledging became more dangerous because every line went underground and no one knew the dangerous practices that occurred. It's safer when all the school officials knew who was actually on line. Going underground meant everything was a free-for-all. No rules meant outrageous behavior from members and more people the ended up getting hurt.

I’m tall for a woman. I was always in the back row for class pictures with the boys lol. When I was in middle school the girls basketball coach BEGGED ME to join the team cause he was SURE I’d be a star. Tuhhhhhhh I sucked too & knew I would. I told them mfs from the beginning “I’m a cheerleader, a gymnast, & a dancer”. I had ONE good game & ended up back on the cheerleading team. Thank God for that! 🤣🤣
