I prefer the look of the Monta. I've never liked those square numerals of the Rolex Explorer. I think the black dial Triumph would be even more versatile. I agree that jubilee is the most comfortable steel bracelet. One of the unsung hero things of the jubilee is that every link is like a half-link of the oyster which means you can center the clasp easier, and size it easier.

Thanks for watching! I agree the black a black triumph would be more versatile but I have a thing for green watches. And good point about the jubliee they are all half links.

When I compare the two, it's hard for me to justify the price of the Rolex. I did a video comparing Grand Seiko to Monta but I think Rolex is more appropriate here.

Its not impossible to get Rolex or better finishing out of lower-end brands. It is possible to get an arguably better watch for less (Grand Seiko and Omega come to mind). Rolex is king at "in house." They virtually do everything in their factory and that is what we pay for. Grand Seiko also is another brand that does everything in house for the most part. The reason why Rolex is more expensive than GS is cost of labor. Honestly, dollar for dollar I'd put my seaQ up against a submariner any day of the week. I'd put my Aqua Terra up against an OP any day of the week. I'd put my Ball engineer M Marvelight up against a Milgauss any day of the week.

Very thoughtful and thorough review. I like everything about my Noble. I had to choose between an OP and a 2022 AirKing to add to daily wear rotation. I got the AK a gently used blue dial Noble. They are quite rare on secondary market and almost ordered one until a relative wanted to move his because of its long clasp. Your comparison is quite similar to my findings between the two watches. The are both extremely versatile, elegant, relatively inconspicuous, and very well finished. The only issue I have with the Monta is the unnecessarily long clasp. Solidly in my dumb reach rotation.

Preorder: $2200 After preorder: $2500 I have the Noble Shockingly good watch and amazing finishing, easily matching my Omegas and modern Rolexes, slightly behind the GS. All are significantly more expensive.

@@KC-bv9kf I totally agree! The Monta’s finish is right there with my Omegas and Tudors but not my GS. I really wish Omega and GS would get their bracelets up to the quality and comfort of the Montas
