After thinking it over, I’m starting to think that Monger had always wanted to set the monster team free, It shows just how close he was with the detainees (specifically B.O.B.) by attending his birthday party and raising him from infancy according to the Netflix shorts. So now that there was an actual crisis outside the governments control, he actually leaped into the board room with a full presentation of his monsters. Then even after he fulfilled his end of the deal with their freedom, he told them of how much it affected him as their warden with a salute before accessing them boarding to the ship, even when it risked his life in the process. For a War Monger this dude was a Hero

Say what you want about this movie, especially since it's a fever dream and a half, but I loved it and still do. That and I stand by my statement that President Hathaway is one of the best depictions of the US president in any film ever.

I dont even remember 90% of what happens in this movie but I love this guy
