Glad you like it. The boy doing Calvin's voice here is now 22 years old. :) I've got grandson's that I'm going to work with next week and we'll see what kind of voices we get. We're going to produce a couple more Calvin videos.

For me, the only voice that matches Calvin's voice is my dad's. He would read these comics to me before I learned how to read.

Years ago I subscribed to a newspaper just for the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip. When it ended, so did my subscription.

This is a great story Steve. I agree completely. My kids love Calvin and Hobbs and have the books and read them all the time. :)

Calvin's voice should be a mixture of high and husky, not too deep though because he's still six years old. Hobbes's voice, to me anyway, would sound like a guy in his twenties or thirties and Calvin's parents would sound like adults from a cheesy 90's sitcom.

I always imagined Calvin sounding kinda like a slightly lower pitched Timmy Turner, and Hobbes sounding kinda like Winnie the Pooh.

@@baronvonpiano7625 Agreed, I imagine like a mix of Timmy Turner and Spinelli (moreso the voice actress when she does the Oblong kid, but, Spinelli's her more well-known role, and she does pretty much the same voice for both anyway)

Thank you! We had fun with it for sure. :) I still laugh when I see that last scene. Now that you mention it, I think we could have put more effects in the whole video. Just small ones, but it would have taken it to another level. I'll do that on the next batch.

I've been in a nostalgic Calvin and Hobbes mood all afternoon. That was the Best Calvin voice I have heard all afternoon! You wouldn't believe some of the voices that some mental cripples thought were appropriate!

Quail Studios Guitar I love how he hasn’t sold out, and most likely never will they reached him Countless times to sell his rights so they can make a movie but he refused and rather than live in a glamorous place he enjoys a rural setting with his family.

I loved all of the voices for each character! Great job! Thank you for uploading. I used to love reading the Calvin and Hobbes comics as a kid!

The voices for me... Calvin - The higher register of a 6 year old, but a much more resonant tone when going deeper, especially during his serious/philosophical musings. Hobbes - I imagine a rounder, softer, deep voice, inspired by Winnie the Pooh, but with more energy, without the lethargy. Kind of a nice, innocent, dumb voice. Father - The aura of a stern 20th. century father, but a tinge of higher pitch and clarity. You can hear the sarcasm and annoyance from his voice. Mother - Kind of a female version of his father, but more empathic and passionately furious, and mature. Teacher - Cross between a sweet old lady and a stern teacher. Suzie - Lucy from Peanuts.

I think these voices are the best fit I've seen so far :) I imagine them differently in my head but everyone has their own interpretation!
