I know I should throw them away but two of my orchids catched crown rot. It only takes 2-3 years till they recover. But I have NO patience at all. I just get really sad when I see them suffer, know people throw them away in this condition and I got skills. And am not smart.

@@MrEiht i have an Aloe Vera that for the longest time I couldn’t figure out what it needed. I kept burning the leaves from sunlight or leaving it in too dark of places. I finally found the perfect spot but in the mean time, I bought another one that looks way better, so I at least have one beautiful one and one that’s recovering.
I have done this. My mother in law had 3 large monsteras, she had them for 35 years. But they got thrown outside and forgotten for a decade. No water and not a lot of sun. I found them and they looked like yours but I brought them all back to life and they're huge! I took node cuttings from all 3 and made a bunch more propagations from those. I just barely covered mine with potting soil and they rooted.

Did you keep them in a container or simply keep the soil moist in a pot?
I just put mine just like these cuttings inside a wet paper towel and put in a zip lock without locking it; every single node grew.
This is the best underdog comeback story of all time
Found a broken off branch of monstera on the ground some almost 3 months ago. There were about 7 leaves and most of them were in bad shape, so i took them off and buried the branch in dirt. This video finally brought me the courage to dig it up and cut it up to propagate. Apparently every single node has rooted very nicely! Now i have 5 chonks to share :) hopefully i don't have to wait too long for them to shoot up leaves now that there are alr plenty of roots. Thanks Techplant

I love your videos. I rewatch them all the time while I’m waiting for my seeds to grow or my cuttings to root
First plant youtuber that’s actually explained what nodes are so I know what to look out for. My monstera a a cutting from a plant at work that’s old enough to flower/fruit. Someone made the cutting and then quit and it was going to be thrown away so I asked if I could have it. Couldn’t bare to see it get thrown out. No idea what I’m doing with it though and having to learn fast 😅
I love how you gave us all the stages and growth over time thank u
FANTASTIC video! I so appreciate the close ups on cuttings!!
wow, never see someone giving such much information like this for the nodes propagation, thanks a lot for your videos

I love to see how plants are and how they survive. I am also experimenting with my Monstera, which I am rehabbing from root rot, hoping it grows some roots. Checking my propagation box, I throw some pieces of the stem of a satin pothos, and it is amazing how they grow from a small piece to growing leaves already. I love the prop box!
I’ve watched this too many times than I care to admit. You have a great voice for narrating, very informative. (Especially with the more woody piece, that I was worried about propagating). This video is awesome! Appreciate the time, work, and patience put into this. Thanks! 😊

You explain thing so to the point Lee. Your' amazing. I learned more in one of your shows than what I learned in 5 others combined. The nice thing is that you have vast knowledge, and keep the ego out of the equation. So many plant people out there are all about VANITY, it is them, and them, and then some about a plant. Keep the good work going. You are a professional! Cheers from Victoria, BC. Canada. Yes, we do love plants!!!

I also cut some of the trunk, I got some roots coming out from your perlite+moss trick and can't wait to see some baby leaves!!! :3

I’m excited too. Subbed.
I have a very sad but formerly very LARGE Monstera with only one mostly green leaf that I repotted, but it has just been wilting. I am so emotionally attached to this plant and you gave me hope and proof that it can be saved, so thank you 😭 I’m sad it basically has to start over when this thing, when I got it, was 4 feet tall with leaves with double fenestrations, and it’s gonna be years until it can get back to that point, but I hope I can maintain care of it for that long because it will be so rewarding to see it grow 🥹 I have severe ADHD and depression which led to neglect, but the plant never gave up on me, so I’m not giving up on it. It was attempting to put out new leaves the whole year that I’ve had it (and mistreated it) and I’m just so happy it gets another chance.
Am in Uganda ,I love your passion

You can do it! I hope you have success in your props!
Had a dying monstera deliciosa. Tossed it inside one of my mini ponds and it's rooting like crazy. Started with 2 plants cramed into a pot and separated them, had a piece dying off from the bigger plant so I cut it off and just shoved it into my mini pond with my tri-colour swordtails, now I have 3 😁, also have a marble queen pothos stem just floating in there finally growing some leaves.

What an amazing and thorough video! This gives me hope for restarting my plant if I need to. Did you ever add extra water or mist the bin during this time?
I use an old barber blade for cutting props very sharp. It has a handle that can store the blade ,so it is a bit more safe and you can have a good grip as well . The cuts are almost as sharp as rasor blade, it might be worth looking into it .

Great and inspiring video! Abundant in much needed info. In fact, I am currently on day 7, reviving an adansonii, in similar condition. I got encouraged from your "Does node size matter..." vid. I followed every tip, specially about the blade, and they are doing fantastic so far. Only different with mine is that I used paper towels for the really tiny one node, and pumice for those with internodes to spare. Also am situated in the Philippines, so I guess the natural high humidity helped a lot. Another thing may I add, I noticed that near each node (even the nearest to the roots), a small baby plant(triaglular-shaped bump) is present. I made sure that that area is facing upward and not facing down buried in pumice. Thank's again and good luck to your future experiments.

@@TechplantChannel I noticed that wet wipes retains and release moisture very slowly, and rots(mold, mildew, fungus, algae) less. That gave me the idea to try paper towels inside a closed.container.👍
Hello - thx you for this information. Do you open up the propagation box time to time throughout the period?
This video came to me at the perfect time, I just ordered varigated monstera roots offline, and I wasnt sure how to propagate them (they were 5 roots for 7 dollars, which is much better than the $100+ plants they were asking for). This was very informative, and I'll be propagating them in perlite
