Love the live audio. The supercharger whine on Bigfoot was way more than I remember hearing on tv.

Taurus out there drifting around those corners. That run with Grave Digger was an all timer.

I really love 4 Wheel Crazy. I had no idea how many events he traveled to. I always assumed he was more local.

That Grave Digger vs Taurus is an absolute epic all-time race for the ages. Two alphas throwing their truck's safety to the wind and just flooring it on the last straightaway, launching into the air at the same time...poetry in motion

Did this ever get an actual TV airing? The Louisville races were always some of my favorites.

They didn’t record that year for some reason. Most years did air on tv.

Man could you have imagined had TNT stayed in business and found major backing... A true raving tour with the likes of Bigfoot, Taurus, Bearfoot, USA 1, Equalizer, Grave Digger, Carolina Crusher, King Krunch.

Finally the 1991 lms. This is what could've happened if BF8 raced in 1990. Total domination!

This is one of the only videos of Bigfoot #9 that exists. That truck was held up at customs in Australia soon after. Team bigfoot never got the truck back.

Cool to see home video footage from this time period of monster truck racing. Great quality as well! Too bad they closedown this track. would be cool to see them do figure 8s with the modern trucks!

Announcer said Bigfoot 9 with cantilever suspension, but 8 was the only cantilever truck. When they built 9 it was in partnership with trailmaster to make a shock long enough to eliminate the cantilever setup to save on weight..... Hence why they built 9.

@ Lextech Lighting: Bigfoot 9 chassis is just an upgrade of the Bigfoot 8 chassis. Both chassis ran cantilever suspensions. The front cantilever suspensions on the two chassis at the time of their first few years were attached different. #8's front suspension shocks were attached to a cradle behind the bumper and upside down while #9's shocks were attached at the fire wall, but both front suspensions were cantilever. The rear cantilever suspension on both #8 and #9's chassis were set up the same way. #9 also debuted lighter front and rear axles. The shocks on #8 - #11 are the same whether they are Doetsch Tech or Trailmaster, though #11's cantilever arms were much larger. The first Bigfoot video Magazine movie speaks about # 9 running the Doetsch Tech shocks. Around late in 91the front cantilever was done away with on both 8 and 9 in favor of vertical front shocks but the rear suspension on both chassis remained cantilevered. www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&id=9264EC50F8BC1D16C9FA6FCF6EF6519151DE1DE0&thid=OIP.W2eBVEkwf-7cXMLdlrwiGQHaFs&mediaurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bigfoot4x4.com%2Fmonster%2520truck%2520tech%2Fstage3_3.jpg&exph=461&expw=600&q=bigfoot+9%27s+cantilever+suspension&selectedindex=0&ajaxhist=0&vt=0&eim=0,1,2,3,4,6,8,10 #10 ran vertical front shocks as well, but it's rear cantilever had the rear shocks attached to the chassis just behind the rear of the cab. #11 was an upgraded chassis of #10 again with greater wheel travel and the engine was a Ford Boss 429 Hemi bored to 572 ci as opposed to #10's SVO 460 block bored to 572ci. The rear cantilever would be attached just like 8 and 9's shocks were. 8,9 and 11's shocks were attached to the chassis bar that ran across the tail gate. Bigfoot 14 was the first race truck to not have a cantilever suspension. 14's front shocks were vertical just like the other Bigfoot's but the rear shocks were much longer alloying them to be attached vertical like it's front shocks. Later 10 and 11's rear cantilever suspension would be converted over to the long vertical shocks. 8 and 9 remained the same. Jim Kramer speaks about the switch from the rear cantilever to vertical rear shocks on #14 on KZread video "MTRA 94 Road to The Championship. Look at 24.00 min mark." kzread.info/dash/bejne/kWGNutJ8f7inesY.html

@ Lextech Lighting: About "1/3 down" you will see how #9's front and rear suspension was mounted in 1991. The front shocks being mounted to the chassis next to the firewall. There are some photos of #10 and #8. You have to learn the big and small differences in all of these chassis. monsterphoto.iwarp.com/big9.htm Bigfoot 8 chassis monsterphoto.iwarp.com/bfoot3.htm Bigfoot's shop foreman a few years back posted numerus photos of all of the Bigfoot trucks and asked to identify each one, while some had the same bodies on them I could still tell which chassis I was looking at. I got all of them correct.
