    much respect, i started fly fishing when i was 8. started to tye my own flys at the same age too using my dogs hair for the flys.. heh, bluegill were perfect to learn to fly fish on.. once you learn to fly fish you are hooked for life.. i lve big fish on light fly gear. thanks for sharing your part of the world.. i grew up in the northwest of usa.. in oregon.. off the nehaliam/rock creek river. im in arizona now.. and fishing in the desert just does not work.. so my fly rod has been retired for 10 years now.. maybe one day ill get to get her wet again. rock on.

    I watch a lot of fishing vids and agree about release on most occasions but what I don’t see is real honest fisherman who keep the occasional fish yet it happens in the real world all the time. Are the majority just trying to produce videos with a theme of look how good I am ? Man is a hunter!

    The warmer the water, the faster the fish grow. As they digest the food faster, they eat more than cold water fish. A study showed that a Great Lakes Largemouth takes about 4 years to reach 9". In Florida, they take only 9 months!

    Wow! Come to America's west coast and see some NATIVE rainbow/steelhead. All rainbow NOT on America's west coast are transplanted. But, if you think they are somehow genetically altered by man.. .well, then the west coast native Americans (indians) had some awesome genetic facilities 3,000 years ago. And we have quite a few species out here. Native species include rainbow, cutthroat, and golden trout. Tough not technically trout, we also have some different species of char, including arctic char and dolly varden char. Good luck with your belief that no trout are anything but man-made....

    Those first few Trouts were not really Brown Trouts though, its Sea Trouts. Same fish yea but the non-stationary sea migrating Brown Trout is called a Sea Trout... hence the silver color and they grow larger... Thingvellir is connected to the sea through river from where the trout migrate to/from sea...

  • @xxwhatevahxx

    @xxwhatevahxx

    9 жыл бұрын

    Óttar Finnsson You are right, but in some cases the migration doesnt need to happen to form a brown trout into a sea trout looking trout because if Sea water is (or has been) connected to a vast & deep lake that simulates many of the sea inlet/bay life & biotopics and can therefore transform many brown trout in the lake to look/be/grow like sea trout... Brown Trout who are stationary in only lakes grow already very huge & change their looks somewhat (compared to them being stationary in rivers/streams/creeks), you add a bit of sea water/biotopics and voila it can create some hybrid sea/brown trout patterns... Whatever the case may be, trout is a trout & grows/looks like based on what/where it is living & eating and this is FANTASTIC TROUT WATER! Þingvallavatn is amazing.

You could have the best video ever made and it will have dislikes. Maybe in this case its people who disagree with fishing and dont give it long enough to see that the fish are released back without harm. we live in an ignorant world. best concentrate on the positives rather than the people who dislike videos!!

No wonder you lost it. The whole thing from the start is hyped up and not the norm for an enjoyably fishing video. Monster Trout click bait.
