You can find each street food in this satisfying video here:
01:03 Entering the Yucutan breakfast restaurant in Merida, Huevos Motulenos y Mas, to try their famous eggs breakfast, known as Huevos motulenos.
03:16 Trying the Mexican Breakfast AKA Huevos Motulenos for the first time
03:38 Trying the extremely spicy Mexican habanero chili pepper, it was so spicy!
04:59 Entering the local street food market in Merida (Lucas de Galvez Market), and finding the Mexican Tamales, here in Merida known as Tamales Colados, a corn flour steamed and wrapped with banana leaf and covered with spicy salsa.
06:21 Finding and trying Cochinita Pibil, a special Yucutan food found in Merida in this local street food market. It's like the most juicy pulled pork sandwich ever! The bread is so soft and the meat is so flavourful and tender!
09:35 Trying the famous Tacos al Pastor in Merida, a delicious Mexican street food found all over Mexico. These ones were a little dry but unfortunately. Found right outside the market.
14:38 We made our way to the beach right outside of Merida, in Progreso, to try a huge Yucutan seafood adventure feast! It was amazingly fresh and delicious! We ordered the Tikinchik fish, some fish tacos, octopus, and a fresh seafood ceviche!
ABOUT THE FOOD RANGER
My name is Trevor James and I'm a hungry traveler and Mandarin learner that's currently living in Chengdu, Szechuan, China, eating up as much delicious street food as I can . Over the next few years, I'm going to travel around the world and document as much food as I can for you! I love delicious food! This channel will show you real Chinese food and real local food, not that stuff they serve in the Buzzfeed challenge.
Thanks for watching, and please feel free to leave a comment, suggestion, or critique in the comments below! HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

When I was little I didn't know what a habanero was but it looked so cute the cutest little orangyred Chile but my evil brothers knew exactly what it was they said try it with a huge grin on their faces I said waaaiiit why are you being too nice what is it? He said just try it I said ok but I'll take the tiniest of the tiniest bites I can possibly do and OMG I could not stop drinking water I ended up puking it was the worst experience ever with Chile's the worst. they did the same with wasabi but that wasn't too bad I mean it tasted nasty but I was expecting it to be spicy I probably had something different idk what it was but it sure looked like wasabi.

Hope Trevor has a strong stomach. Mexican street food vendors were notoriously hygienic. Used to work on cruise liners on the Mexican run. Every voyage, passengers were cautioned to take care when eating seafood because of the rampant cases of food poisoning.

MsKestrela in México you've gotta to stick to the regional specialities, if not, you definitely get mediocre food unfortunately. Tacos are good in northern Mexico and central Mexico, not so good in the south. I've rarely had good tacos there.

A Mexican talking here, having tried food from all around my country, there's definitely some highlights from all the states but I'm going to be honest all the food from famous Mexican beaches is bad, poor seasoning and overall bad, if you travel to México strictly for food go to Puebla or my second place is for Mexico's city, you can find all the good food from famous states there with great quality and mind-blowing flavor then you can go to the beaches and relax but expect meh food, it's also more expensive be careful.

Hi, as a native Merida citizen, I'm really wondering how comes that you had that impression of this city 40 years ago. I'm only 33 years old but thanks to pictures and my parent's experiences and stories, I know that the city has been far from being a ghost town. Maybe you visited another region of the state? I don't know but I honestly would love to know about your experience. :)
