I used to be on the Bang Bandwagon.... then early last year Reign won me over. I feel they’re doing a lot more in regards to creating new flavors. Many people never heard of lilikoi lychee until it was released recently, and I’m so glad they did. I’m hoping for a pineapple soon lol

I have the same thoughts and feelings here, too! I started out not liking Reign, mainly because I felt it was too similar to Bang. But as you said, it’s the new flavors from Reign. Reign is my go to now. Haven’t had a Bang in a while!

I know the videos can be a bit long and I, personally, dont usually like watching long videos, so I try to make them short, but as long as there is enough good content to keep going, I usually do. I try to break up in different parts so its still entertaining and not boring, since I am just a guy in a room talking, but it works. Glad you enjoyed the video.

i tried the reign blue razz flavor and wasn't a fan of it. i didn't try any other reign flavor for a year after that. but i finally made a decision to try another flavor. i tried the reign inferno red dragon and it was sooooo good. i really loved it. just a couple days ago i tried the creamsicle reign, and that may have been even better. im trying to get my hands on some more flavors of reign. as for bang, i tried the cotton candy a while ago and it was delicious. just a couple weeks ago, i got the bang rainbow unicorn. probably my least favorite energy drink ive ever had. so far, reign is my favorite of the two. reign might even be my favorite energy drink of them all. if your reading this caffine man, have a good day!

Another awesome video as always with great information. I'm Team Reign now (or G-Fuel, Bucked Up, Scorpion, or Raze.) I like Bang's Cotton Candy, Candy Apple Crisp and Purple Guava Pear, but the rest of the Bang's seem have some kind of aftertaste I just don't like. I just tried a Radical Skaddadle, and I'm so glad I didn't buy a case.

Great work as usual! You provide a level of content that most people do not. One thing that I find is extremely lacking with Bang is their website. Good luck trying to find out what flavors they have, or what the flavors are suppose to taste like. If you want to know what each Reign product is designed to taste like, simply go to their website for a clear description. Bang puts forth no effort to provide insight or content on their website. Even when reaching out to them directly about the flavors and descriptions, their own employees cannot help.

Thanks! So happy to hear you find the information valuable! Its a lot to go through but I feel its worth it to add as much value to the content. Sometimes its "too much" information for some people, but there are definitely those who enjoy it. As for Bang, I think they pride themselves on having "unique" flavors so they let everyone else figure out what its supposed to taste like. So if one person thinks it tastes like vanilla and one person thinks it tastes like strawberry, who are they to decide what you taste? They'll just let people fight it out for themselves. LOL.

I work for a distributor and we started doing bang in 2017 only had like 5 flavors. It’s crazy how popular it’s gotten and since Pepsi bought the rights to them we no longer carry their products. On to a new journey tho! I see 3D and G Fuel picking up in the next couple years

Oh yeah! GFUel is killing it with their cans. I mean, they will always be big with their powders, since thats what they have grown their company with, but the powders usually arent in store. These cans are getting put into stores and I dont think they expected as huge of a success as they are. Well... I mean, I think they might have expected it, but I wouldnt definitely say its exceeding expectations and Im willing to go on the record of saying that within the next year or two, if they keep pumping out awesome cans, their can line is going to sell more than the powders.

I switched from drinking Rockstar's 'pre-workout' stuff because they only had a handful of flavors(and I hate most of them) to Bang because of the numerous flavors, even if they were of a lesser quality than Reign(which I personally think they're in a dead heat on flavor quality) there are more chances for you to like a flavor and thus have more options rather then having to burn out on a flavor. I like Monster's Ultra Zero line over the competition for the exact same reason.

Reign has been a touch slower than ohers when coming out with new flavors, but they are usually worth the wait. Theyve been doing a good job with the Ultra line too!

All of your vids have been really helpful learning about caffeine as a whole and really just knowing what that drink tastes like I keep seeing at the store tbh. I had tried the Reign Dreamsicle and Carnival candy and to me they had a chemical taste before the flavor hit. But because of this video I decided to give another flavor a shot. I got the peach one, and glad I did. I used to vape , and there is a great flavor that tastes like the gummy peach rings. The Reign peach(fizzy peach?) tastes just like if you took that vape liquid as a flavor base and then mixed it with carbonated water,then add the nectar from a fresh tree ripened peach to it. It was great, will be trying the other Reigns now.

Yeah, Ive been focusing on mostly US drinks for now, as its a larger audience and they like to be able to easily purchase what I am reviewing...and it is fairly expensive to get drinks shipped internationally for a review. Im hoping as my audience grows and I get caught up on reviews, that I can expand out into more international drinks!

I actually like both, its whatever is in sale is what I get the most. Sometimes both. For my long bike rides I drink a bang 30 min before l, and at the halfway point of the ride I go with some reign cuz it has the electrolytes in it.💪🏾

Yeah, Bang used to be expensive when it was just in the supplement stores. Then, once Reign came out, Reign was always doing a sale... even at Reigns regular price, it made Bang have to come down.

I do Celsius for the health aspects but when I need that caffeine it's bang all day! Power punch, sour headz, rainbow unicorn are my favorite

True. Id actually like to get the international version of Bang which is only 150mgs, but thats because I don't really workout so I dont need that much caffeine in one drink...AND Id be able to have a Bangster BErry and Rainbow Unicorn instead of having to choose one over the other!

Absolutely Reign, Orange Dreamsicle is my favorite flavor of any drink out there.

I have given Bang so many tries and always get disappointed with the aftertastes of the sucralose they don’t seem to be able to mask that after taste. And they really messed up adding stevia to their nitro jack drinks🤢. Only two flavors I can drink ok of Bang are Bangster berry and Froserose. Oh but that coconut redbull is delicious. Heard Redbull came out with a Artic Blast flavor bro. Been looking for it but can’t find it🤷🏻‍♂️. Awesome video bro as always.💪🏼🙏🏻🙏🏻

I've only tried bang so far but now reign is on my list. I'm always really hesitant on new energy drinks because I started in the era of them tasting like energy drinks. Bang's flavor is like a soda flavor rather than tasting the energy mix underneath some shoddy flavoring. Hopefully reign is as good as bang. Pina Colada is my fav bang so far

Yeah, energy drinks have come a longggg way from where they once started. A lot of the preworkout/supplement companies have come out with flavors that dont even resemble energy drink flavors anymore. A lot of good stuff.

Even though I don't care for Red Bull, I absolutely loved the inclusion of coconut Red Bull at the end to get a quick jab in. This is definitely one of my favorite videos from you so far, you did a great job getting information across and explaining the history of the companies and their competition with each other. I have to say I definitely prefer Reign over Bang in most cases, but the most recent additions from Bang have been very good and I look forward to what they both create in the future. Also, I noticed you don't have Bang's Citrus Twist on your list, have you not tried it before?

Thank you so much! Glad you loved it! A lot of time and research went into it, but I still loved making it and bringing to you. As for the Citrus Twist, I think thy might have been out of it when I did my first review and then as the reviews multiplied I totally forgot that I hadnt tried it. Oddly enough Im not a fan of Citrus, so I probably wasnt overly worried that I missed the citrus twist. LOL!

I think Reign is trying to one up Bang due to price. I notice Reign is 2 for $4, at the gas station while Bang is 2 for $4 something. I know not much of a difference but people like me will go for that lesser lol. Anyways, I’m glad to see your channel grow, when I started following you last year I think you had under 13k. Honestly, before Reign came out, Bang used to be in supplement shops for around 2.75-2.95 a can. It was ridiculous!!! Then when Reign appeared, all of a sudden Bang was able to reduce its price? But Reign, being owned by Monster, could also cut down its profit margins. By running a 2 for $4 special almost constantly... it forced Bang to lower their prices and sometimes Bang still can't compete with the sale prices. Its not something I talked about in this video, but I did in last years video. One of the several factors in who was going to be successful was also based on price. Thanks for the support! I appreciate it. Unfortunately, one I hit the 15K or so mark, everyone starts blending together. 😂😂😂

Ive seen some of the cans and always unique and nicely designed cans.

When I got into the Pre workout high caffeine drinks I started on VPX Bang . Then I found Reign at lower price per case . 20 or less per 12 pak vs 30 or so per 12 pak Reign wins for me . Some bang flavors I really like Miami Cola . I will buy it time to time.

Yeah, sometimes, when it comes down to it, they both have good flavors, they both have similar ingredients, so it could all just come down to price for a lot of people...especially if you buy in bulk.

My friends are now also hooked on the high caffeine drinks too . To space my caffiene in take out I will do a sugar free gatorade or powerade along with it or mixed in the am

Interesting breakdown. I prefer Reign. I usually grab one to help get me through my shifts since I work at night. I used to get the bang because I had switched from normal monster which is just a sugar bomb, but bang has this really strong off-flavor. Reign has it as well, but not as much. The flavor is definitely overall better, although I still think it could use a little work. Speaking of flavor, what an interesting bunch. I've tried the strawberry jalapeno, which was quite good. Just yesterday I had the white gummy bear, which was very nice. Currently in my little ice chest I have a cherry limeade that I'm going to crush in a few hours. Just not a big fan of Coca-Cola having its hooks in Monster, since Coca-Cola hates me. But I find it weird that anyone is replacing soda with these. Even if it's a healthier version of an energy drink, should we really be drinking them that often? I cut soda almost entirely recently and have replaced it with Spindrift. I never would have seen myself loading up on bang or reign would have been a viable alternative. Well in any case, I'm sticking with reign, and I'm curious to see what crazy flavors they come up with.

Glad you like the Reign as thats what I lean towards as well. As for replacing soda with energy drinks, a lot of people do it for the sugar free flavors. Aspartame can be very off-putting so the sucralose in energy drinks is more well received. I actually did a video on "Why soda is bad for you (and enery drinks arent), if you have seen it yet. I would NOT recommend replacing soda with Bang or Reign, as these were originally marketed as preworkout energy drinks and have 300mgs of caffeine, which is a touch high. Normal energy drinks, for many years, only have 160mgs of caffeine and gave plenty of people plenty of energy. I have a sugar free energy drink just about every day.

If I had to choose only one energy drink line for the rest of my life it'd be Reign hands down. I have never had better flavors and a smoother energy. Two monsters has barely more caffeine than one Reign but they can make me feel on edge later in the day, I can drink two Reigns in a day without feeling any jitters or anxiety.

Supplement shops usually have them... but, from what Ive heard, they didnt sell all that well. I reviewed them and wasnt a huge fan either.

Thanks, glad you liked the video and agree. A lot of people seem to be saying the like Raze more than these two... which is perfectly fine.. I just hope people know I wasnt bashing any other companies. It was just a comparison of these two due to the battle they have. 😂

Just an observation from someone who is a part of the fitness industry. Before mid 2019 all of the huge fitness expos would partner with Bang and they would have massive Bang set ups and booths at expos. Recently however, Bang has disappeared from the big expos and has been replaced by Reign. It has been interesting to see.

Thanks for the extra input. It is quite interesting. I mean, if you watch their instagram page, they are still setting up stages and such practically everywhere...but it seems like its not at expos? Perhaps they are just doing their own thing now? Maybe they think all the expos know them so they are just doing their own tours? Either way, I think they need to keep an eye on who their original audience is, because if they stray too far, assuming all the workout people will just stay with them, Reign could swoop in.

I recently bought an amp Strawberry limeade. I don't remember, but have you reviewed it before?

I haven't reviewed many of the Amp products yet. I wasnt an overly huge fan, due to the high sugar content and pretty much most of them tasting like concentrated Mountain Dew.... BUT, I did throughly enjoy the Game Fuels that they came out with. Im hoping now that Pepsi and Rockstar merged, Amp can pick up some tips from Rockstar.

@CasualDude Bang and Reign are both international. They just needed to reformulate it to lower the caffeine count due to international caffeine restrictions. The distribution may be spotty in some place but its there....heck, its spotty in the US for crying out loud!

Bang was limited due to the distribution. Now that Pepsi is the distributor you will see some big numbers in 2021

Live+ original can (yellow) and mother original (red can) are by far the cheapest energy drinks over here in New Zealand, however they are close behind our biggest energy drink named “V” and “V Blue”

In my experience Reign taste better most of the time. I am pretty sure it is because they allow a few extra calories in thier drinks.

Reign tastes better probably for a few reasons. It could be the calories but it could be because they just added more flavor or, who knows, some special ingredient to set off the taste buds. LOL

I team both because they are clear most of them and I like the flavor of both I like birthday cake bash and jalapeno strawberry but I drink them all to try different flavors

Yeah, the problem with having so many different lines and so many different flavors is that they are bound to discontinue some of them. Not enough shelves in the fridge for all the drinks.
