Amazing work dude. In my world Goblins are especially afraid of them to the point where they shout it’s name when charging into battle against other goblins. PS: I would love to see your take on the Death Giant

Welcome back, Josh. Another stunning piece! The eyes are realy piercing while the gullet sucks you in. For me, ears and a navel on a frog convey better that this was once a human than the clothes. So the headband sitting almost ontop the head is also quite telling.

(sincerest apologies for my delay in spamming this want of mine) Wind swept across the dry forest, grass barely able to stay alive, while two creatures remained in constant deadlock. One, a short and fat ranine hanging from above on stubby legs while it’s arms limply sagged below like vines. The other, a tall and lean creature of unnatural allure, its breaths not even making a motion of its chest as it stared into the eyes of the crockpot-bellied beast above. “What are you?” Gurgled the yara-ma-yha-who as a glob of saliva fell into the eyes of its target for discussion, receiving not even a flinch as the drool slid down from the eye. Like a tear did said saliva run down the motionless being’s face. “A Lord of Xoriat.” Said the Daelkyr, chest and throat making no motion while it spoke in that beautiful, androgynous voice.

Welcome back Arcane Forge! I missed your videos so much I'm glad you're back! Also the yara ma yha who kind reminds me of a slaad on how they reproduce, perhaps a long lost cousin? Anyway fantastic work as always!😀 Ps Also also I recommend to do a video on the bionoid from spelljammer! There a race made by the elves during the inhuman Wars and are like Venom but bug suits, there really cool trust me. 🧙‍♂️

Absolutely! I love the idea of getting to the Banderhobb. They're so much fun and can be totally gruesome too!

I love this so so much. I’ve always loved this creature because it just seems so odd. I have no doubt that this was an inspiration for the d&d Banderhob. The idea to make this a fey was brilliant. Most fey creatures are from European cautionary fairytales. This fits into that category so well and is just different enough being from a different culture. I’m in love with the way that you brought this to life in your own interpretation. It’s so good to have you back! This was the monster Monday that I didn’t know I needed. Can’t wait for next week!

Im loving these!! the hobgoblin video was amazing and caused hobs to become by favorite monster, I think it could be interesting to see some demon lords such as Graz'zt? or other powerful demons.

Oh yeah, he's back! This Yara-ma-yha-who looks great and sounds like it'll be fun to run. I was tinkering with a yuan-ti version of a vampire that had a Yautja (Predator movies) feel. But your frog sucker would be so much fun to spring on a lower level party. I like your choices to make it Fey and to handle the attack as it does. The whole running away with a dead party member bit might freak out some party members who aren't used to this behavior. Excellent job on the art and homebrew.

Awesome monster lore video for us D&D gamers!!! When I was collecting/viewing D&D monster lore videos, I came across one of your videos and decided to subscribe to your channel to check out your other D&D monster lore videos. I came across this one and remembered first seeing a cryptic/mythic creature lore video of the Yara-ma-yha-who on the Storied KZread channel Monstrum series last year. Both of these lore videos are enjoyable and entertaining, so please make more. It's very rare to see videos by people who knows how to convert cryptic creatures (other than the Yeti back in the 1st-Ed AD&D Monster Manual text) into D&D monsters to give the RPG fans a little taste of modern monsters to deal with.

I know you only do dragons for Dragon December, but I’d be excited to see some of the more obscure, outsider dragons Like the Pyroclastic Dragons from Gehenna Or maybe just some of the crazy 3.5e and 4e outsiders Otherwise some types of Waterhorse could be cool Like Hippocampus’s Kelpies And more interestingly, the Nuckelavee (google it, it’s nuts)

I was thinking, since you have already made this video about a monster from aboriginal lore, why not try your hand at the whowie and the rainbow serpent? And since you have covered elves and orcs, why not dwarves?

@@ArcaneForge Honestly, thank you for sharing your talent and time with the D&D community. I just discovered your channel last month so I'm slowly working my way through your work. I work in a warehouse as a "team" of one, so long hours of isolation does become mentally draining. But having the option to listen to your superb audio and amazing voice, on top of something I'm interested in will make the upcoming months less stressful. So thank you again for everything you do, it is genuinely appreciated!

Wow - what an evocative beast! I’ve got a Veldt-like expanse to the north of my setting... I might populate a few forests there with some of these creatures. They fit in well with the darker side of the Fey for me, too - my Hags were famed for creating mutant bio-weapons in their ‘cauldrons’ long ago before they were defeated and booted back to the dark edges of the Feywilde. They’re a bit like Stirges on steroids, and it’s a nice mechanic! So yeah - I’m nicking this! Welcome back boss! Edit: wow! The Aboriginal background for nose bones and body painting is fascinating!

@@ArcaneForge I can't tell you what all the meanings are for the body paint, so can't help you there, sorry. I just remember when I was involved in an Indigenous festival, the lady who painted my face told me a bit about the paintings that people had: they could show where you were from, what your status was, and also tell stories. When my oldest wanted to be the eldest Winjarning Brother for Book Week dressups, I got very stressed because I didn't want to mess up! You've explained your reasoning behind how you've presented it, so I can see your intention is good; if there are any issues, I hope a First Nations person can tell you

Just ran them against my players defiantly first hit is like a brick wall but after that they are pretty light almost killed a character she rolled good on the con save and the over powered tank killed it in one blow. Was very interesting

Now I want you to do the Drop Bear (which was probably the Thylacoleo)

@@ArcaneForge we have some amazing stories, and so much relates to actual historical events: there are stories which you can trace to major geological events such as the formation of the Great Australian Bight, volcanic eruptions, and changes in sea levels, as well as references to now-extinct animals

I had an idea where, should the metamorphosis process be interrupted, the player character would be partially transformed but otherwise “ok”. Theyd lose some points in charisma or something, but they’d gain an advantage in strength or dexterity rolls.

Fun fact: You can read the name of this monster at the tune of numa numa yei, and once you do this you cant read it in any other way
