@@luggerphilippe8409 The species itself is a mastiff type of dog the same way you have the Spanish mastiff(Presa Canario), Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff), Great Dane(German Mastiff), and Boerboel(South African Mastiff). I hope this helps.

Mine looks identical and weights 230 lbs. I only weigh 111 lbs and he let's me ride on his back like a horse. Definitely beats being dragged through the neighborhood 😅 They need to be very well trained before they get too big to control because that excitable puppy energy can make them quickly forget how large they are and how easily they can take us for a walk instead. Fortunately, they'll do everything in their power to please us and protect us so training them is rewarding and so much fun. Once you make it past their mile wide stubborn streak! Seriously the best dog ever ❤

@@paulsherbert7770 I agree with everything you said. My Boerboel is almost 3 now and 220 pounds. It absolutely amazes me, he's got all that bite force yet he takes food from my hand as gently as a Golden Retriever. So much strength yet so gentle with his family. I've had many different breeds over the years but a South African Boerboel is most definitely in a class of their own at the very top of the dog breeds. Bane has convinced me I'll have a Boerboel best friend the rest of my life!

@@wrenning4ever Yes, they are absolutely brilliant! Of course consistency is critical, especially as they're growing so quickly and will be a handful untrained at 200 plus pounds. Warning, they also have a stubborn streak as big as they are from time to time but are also such characters you'll be laughing constantly 😅
