I really went like "damn this is insane who made this." And then saw xenoz and was like "oh cool"

The story revolves around Kenzo Tenma, a Japanese surgeon living in Düsseldorf, Germany whose life enters turmoil after getting himself involved with Johan Liebert, one of his former patients, who is revealed to be a dangerous serial killer.

Kenzo's fate is really sad tbh. He lost his chance to get a job's promotion from his supposedly father in law and got ditched by everyone he rely on including his ex-girlfriend, due to he can't save the mayor's life because he had to save child Johan's life. (At one point i feel bad but i feel relieved for Kenzo, his girlfriend and her father were basically snobby rich fake people with hungry over money and power, they were using him for their benefits. He better off without them anyways). But once again, i feel bad for him because he had to go through those social judgements and suffering just to save Johan's life who will ended up being the biggest threaten of the entire show, Kenzo basically saved a monster and it cost nothing but another suffering later on for him.
