He’s only retiring from competitive events. He’ll be teaching at MJU full time and be the stunt coordinator for MJ in ‘25 onward. So if you don’t want him to leave completely, you’ll get that

Well if you think about it. He is reaching 60 in a few years. We all don't want him to go, but he deserves this well deserved retirement. Tom definitely shaped all of our childhoods. (same with Scott Douglas and Dennis Anderson of course) we will all miss his talented driving.

I'm sad to hear Meents is calling it quits after this season, but I don't blame him. He's been around for quite a while now, and what a career he's had!

@@MJJackinatorthey’ve been doing that to a lot of the veteran drivers over the last few years. However I think Tom was ready to hang it up. He’s getting older and he’s already cemented himself as the greatest driver ever in Monster Jam history

I was like surprised to go and see the fireworks in the San Antonio show, so looks like they’re bringing them back into the regular stadium shows for the first time since 2016. Hopefully they can still do that.

Great stuff as always. Can't wait for another good season of MTR footage

I was thinking the same thing, for a brand new truck they are much less timid then usual

I really hope Tom has a fantastic retirement after this season. I know we all dont want him to go, but hes going to be 60 in a few years. He deserves it. Thank you Tom for everything youve done to this sport. It wouldn't be ve the same without you. Maximum Destruction forever!

It definitely is, seeing it in the pit party was a little odd at first cuz I'd never seen it before. But after looking it up and reading that that show was it's FIRST global debut in monster jam was really cool

It makes me all tingly inside when i see the left side of Tom's truck that is the Maximum Destruction side of thay body. I wouldve loved for him to run Maximum Destruction all year. Go out the same way his career in Max-D got started.

@@user-co2fc2sd7o no he got started driving Monster Patrol in the 90s after doing some Mud racing in Shake and and Mud Patrol. I'm saying Tom's Max-D career is going out the same way as it was debuted with the Maximum Destruction body

I was there last night with my sister and it was an absolute dream come true for me, I've wanted to go to one of these since I was 5 and I turned 22 just 3 weeks ago

In opinion this division of the Cross Country championship series side is the better field than the West side because one truck looks awesome and the other is possibly saying farewell.😮😮😊😊 Looking forward to seeing the season. 😊😊😊😊😊

Oh wow, the JCB truck desgn looks the best. Whomever is the person/team behind adapting into a monster truck shell, did a great job. It's so cool and good balanced , and breaks free from the generic van/truck setup into the custom forms (not the lame sharks, octopus, dogs, crap)

The articulator of absolute destruction! I remember being 5 and losing my mind watching him and Dennis tear up pepsi center in Denver,CO im 25 now! Thanks for the childhood 🐐

Hope digatron coming to MetLife since it’s after the world finals, but I hope I can digatron, thunderoarous, max d, stabilizer, bad company, and shaker, and overboard, and we need a digatron toy this year, we got thunderoarous one last year so maybe, and we’re getting the first ever hooked die cast toy this year!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊

It's sad to know Max-D isn't going to be a thing anymore after this year. At least that's what I'm getting from the way Tom made it sound. "Max-D is going with me" or something like that. Really one of my favorite trucks ever since 2006 and I was a kid. Really a shame to see how FELD has treated such a legendary truck, they'd rather promote grave digger/megalodon/el Toro loco more I suppose.

Actually Tyler’s throttle got stuck mid jump. That huge jump wasn’t intentional. If they let him refire, that truck was going straight into the dumpsters.

I think it was still tripping too many drivers up. It caused them to have to slow down once they were heading to that part if the track

No one could really do the transfer jumps with the bowl so it made it kinda pointless.

@@andylasceski Oh I see. The drivers getting tripped up made for awesome saves but the runs ended early. That finish from Tom was crazy. I was hoping he'd jump over Grave Digger.

@@RDCNATION sometimes they saved it but more often than not they crashed and ended early which is a bummer. A flat pod is better than one that dips in the middle I think

What happened at this competition with kraken and jester... houston show last night kraken was stripped to his frame and barely ran and jester never even made an appearance during show

With East getting intros with that, they really have to make up for the lame display west had!

As of rn the west coast series looks way better, in terms of the drivers too, not just because this show looked like garbage

Gotta disagree tbh you’ve got reigning series champion Tyler menninga, 14 time world champion Tom Meents, who is clearly giving it 150% this season, reigning WF racing champion Tristan England, Bryce Kenny, Todd leduc (who I’m hoping has a better season than last year) and all the others are capable of winning too.
