My friend recently acquired his complete kickstarter set of this game, we started a campaign last week but only got to play two quests in that time, can't wait to play more, your videos are satiating my craving to play! Keep em coming!

oh and 4:00 Diablos doesn't hunt either. It is territorial, yeah, but it just eats cacti.

Glad you are still playing this through. I have followed you from watching the Alien Vs Predator: The hunt begins videos. Would you ever do a game of that on camera?

I had the original print of that game, but have sold it since a new version came out. I don’t have the new version, but I’ve been playing nemesis for my alien fill

You might've actually lost this hunt if you had rolled for that paratoad and it had hit you :O

I thought armor applied to each damage card individually? @15:15

No, that would be awful. Armor applies to the entire attack

@@CynicallyAwesome The armor indeed applies to the card individually, as show by the SFG team themselves during their playthrough. But if the armor deducts the attack to zero, it will always deal at least 1 dmg. Either way, fun game! Thank you for sharing.

@@BearinBG When I say the entire attack, I mean all the damage cards drawn for 1 attack. Did you think I meant for the entire turn? Each attack card is resolved individually and you tally up the damage cards drawn, then reduce by armor- that is one whole attack resolved. then you do the same for the next attack card you play

@@CynicallyAwesome OK, that's how I play it, I must have not been paying close enough attention! If you play 3 attacks that each draw 1 card for damage, armor applies 3 times. However, if you play 1 attack that draws 3 damage cards, armor only applies once.

I just lost this first encounter. Rng was not on my side sadly

was this game worth it? it sort of seems hit or miss with the people that backed it, like the stamina board getting clogged up. Do you see yourself replaying it much or will you be offloading it to make room for more games?

I’ll be keeping it for sure. If you don’t want to take the time tracking this one down, I’d recommend going for Iceborne since it’s the “better” version of this with A LOT more content. I’ll be playing both and home brewing the things that are missing in this version and trying to connect the two

@@CynicallyAwesome I own MHW All In, it takes more space than I would like and I dont need to double the game amount of content. Right now it take 2.5 Kallax Cubes, I dont need 6+ Kallax Cubes worth of Monster hunter lol

@@kaijuh I consolidated my boxes down to one core box and the hunter’s arsenal, so one kal cube. Some of the larger monsters get to be on the top of the shelf space, but yea. Create foam inserts and consolidate your stuff man

​@@CynicallyAwesome before doing that, I am waiting to see if I like the game enough to keep it. Realistically, most of the big monsters cant go back in the boxes once they are assembled and painted. I just got to REALLY like this game to have a shelf dedicated to assembled monsters lol Realistically, the monsters will take up MORE space once they are assembled vs unassembled and in their boxes.
