The first time I beat this guy was solo with a hammer. 90% sure it took 10 years off my estimated life span.

lol sry for not responding to any of ya'll totally just posted this so my friends i play with saw the trouble i was having. The jumping off the pillars definitely took some learning to perfect the timing and control. This was my first elder dragon fight.

Haven't seen a lot of people talk about this online, but with the wall jump spread shot that the bow does you can actually destroy the black spikes. Takes quite a few hits to pull off but if your trying to prevent him from dive bombing you there is you best shot.

100+ hours into this game, and I had no idea you could do a wall jump shot with the bow.

good kill, id charge up that dragon piercer tho when you got them free openings. nice use of the wall shots tho

Thank you for giving me Hope. Been trying to take this guy out for a bit now and cannot seem to dodge his Dive for the life of me. Been trying with Bow and LBG. Ill give the wall shots a try tonight

with the bow spread shot is your best friend to keep his spikes from growing, plus any damage done on white spikes is nearly doubled. I recomend a fitness charm if you run a bow along with dash juice. Both will raise your stamina reduction to 50% which is the cap and will allow u to practically infinitely attack and dodge. Dodging his black spike charge is insanely hard because of the spot on timing to do so (practice makes perfect lol) or a vitality mantle will allow u to survive one full charge.

ACE TM built at the blacksmith using Tobi-Kadachi claw+ and electrode + parts with Dragonvein Crystal and spiritcore ore after that u will need to farm an odogaron for the first upgrade and then Daora for the second upgrade.

tobi-kadachi arms and helm, titzi ya-ku chest, lavasioth legs, and legiana belt. weapon was a the diablos bow. A belated answer but in case u make another character now u know

How does he run off the wall and shoot and what kind of shot is that power show or regular charge

You might of already found this answer but just in case. As you're charging the bow dodge into one the crystal pillars. On other maps such as the ancient forest and the vale, you will use mushrooms the gather along the walls of specific areas. The wasteland there are walls the have branches/roots the decorate them this can be ran on. Finally Coral highlands there are a few areas with coral that decorate walls that can be ran on.

Yeah I farmed Vaal a bunch but I stopped playing around then. I have a bunch of other games I play so I haven’t kept up with the grind such as the nergigante arch tempered that just came out

Got to chop his tail off. If ur using a bow dragon piercer shot is ur best bet of achieving that.

To help out use paralysis arrows should be able to paralyze him twice with full ammo

Lol u should have seen my other 1000 attempts. It was like nergi knew what I was up to and consistently destroyed all pillars all on his own. But this run was less that he wasn't attacking but by destroying his thorns on his wings causes him to be staggered hense the jump shot as it has/had the highest destructive power at the time I made the video. Lots of practice and bad runs led to the this run being successful.

You can redirect dp when the target moves. By letting go of l2, center camera on target, press l2 just as dp is going to fire. Takes a little timing.

Thanks for the tip man will have to check it out. I stopped using for the most part unless monster wast staggered. I use more of a high constitution and spread shot build.

Yoooo. I’m a GS main and I’ve beaten everything first try so far and this fucker has carted me at least 20 times. As someone who blew through almost all Soulsborne games I’m ashamed that his heavily telegraphed moves still fucking merc me lmao.

ngl, wall shot isn't very useful unless you land EVERY single one while positioning yourself perfectly

Salem Heaivilin to each their own I suppose. With a bit of practice getting the positioning down become second nature. The idea behind this is to stagger lock nergigante so one should end up landing every shot if they do it right.

Hammer Bozze diablos bow but still technically a ice bow if u have the free element perk on ur build. I don’t though so it’s purely physical.

@@theworldwillforgivemebecau2553 tobi-kadachi i believe. i posted the full armor set on one of the comments forever ago. i dont use the palico because the palico draw his agro from where i need him to go. Once u learn the monsters ago spots for certain moves you can manipulate them to do what u want based on ur positioning.
