At some point there will be Stories 3. I guarantee it. It's just a matter of time. With stories 2 making double the sales it was expected to (2 million copies) they definitely have a good starter budget. If I were Capcom I think a good guess would be 2028 to 2031. After Wilds and another spin-off game.

Such a good game. Maybe once I complete the Stories 1 remaster I’ll go back and do a second playthrough of Stories 2.

man... for a hot minute I've got really excited that this is a trailer for a new stories

I'll be waiting patiently for the Xbox release a year later

Stories 2 is really good. I finally beat the game back several months ago after years of rage quitting several times. I just got the first one yesterday and so far i love it. I would freak out if they ever come out with a third one.

I wish it was more serious rpg in the monster hunter universe, with more lore and, telling not a side story, but shedding the light on some of the great mysteries.

@@anonymousalien7417Oh we got it, its discontinued (shut down), not cancelled. Monstie Drop had Valstrax in it, and Monster Hunter Riders had Crimson Glow Valstrax. Both are shut down

I know these are pretty much all cutscenes, but it sure looks nice. Well done!

Congrats PlayStation players. You guys have now gotten one of the best if not the best monster collecting video game. To me MHS2 is the best monster collecting video game I have ever played. The series as a whole is my most favorite monster collecting series.

Mh stories 2 carries over a lot of characters and plot from 1 so it's definitely worth getting both But it's best to start with 1

If you're into MH because of combat? No. The stories side games' combat involve rock paper scissors type of deal and more about customizing your pet monsters' kit than your own. If you're into collecting monsters ala pokemon, and "build your own" monsters kinda gameplay? Sure, it might be up your alley. Narrative is pretty much the usual stale ass shonen power of friendship shit so.... eh?

It’s very different from the usual monster hunter games (especially gameplay wise), but if you like monster hunter for the monsters and characters, I very highly recommend it- it’s seriously a masterpiece. I’d say probably start with the first game though since that’s now available on the same platforms as the sequel.

@@NetBattler no I think he meant the exclusive gameplay demo that influencers and media got to watch behind closed doors at the summer games fest, there are now A LOT of videos on peoples impressions and thoughts (they also describe what they saw in a good amount of detail) check it out! Probably it won't happen. Phoenix wright ace attorney trilogy sold very poorly on Xbox, for that reason MegaMan battle network legacy collection wasn't released on Xbox. And it looks like mh stories will share the same fate

Just like the Pokémon games, I care VERY little for the story. This is just another catch'em all and battle game for me. It's not even real Monster Hunter, it's just a catching/training/battling type game similar to Pokémon with Monster Hunter tweaks and title.

This was designed as a Switch game bruh Noticed how the Wilds trailer had Leviathans that uses Agnaktor animations? World prototype had Lagiacrus, and they also tried to put it into both World and Iceborne during their development, as stated by director in radio interview. PS4 doesn't have enough horsepower for it. That's why Kulve Taroth's body is sometimes floating, and it is one of the reasons why 4U's maps were smaller than 3U's ( since monsters can now stand diagonally on slopes, which is extra calculations )

I really wanted to like this game, but holy crap the dialog was 💩. They call monsters monsties and use the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP to deal with everything, which isn't really on theme for monster hunter. Also they call monsters....monsties.... monsties man... wtf.

Eh, Oltura was still very awesome and it was amazing fighting it. The dialogue isn’t always bad either. Only one that was consistently bad was Navirou.
