Just Monster High for me. I really enjoyed and still do enjoy the show, but I see deeper meanings embedded beneath the childish humour now. I see repsentation, displaying racism in an understandable way and being yourself. I am glad I grew up with such a deadly gorgeous show, sad its hit the grave for another round.

I hate that they had to make a "kid friendly" version because some thought the original wasn't kid friendly enough. To me, the original made me so happy and allowed me to feel like i could be myself. Im gonna get a little sappy, but when I was about ten, my family lost our house. I was scared and didn't know where we were gonna go or what to do. I was also bullied at school, had no friends, and was suicidal. I loved monster high though, and so the night we had to leave the house, my grandma, although we didn't have a lot of money, gave me a draculaura doll (it was also my first mh doll as we weren't able to afford one before). Draculaura became like my imaginary friend. I talked to that doll like I would have a friend or adult (it was an alcoholic household so talking to my parents wasn't really an option either), that was everything to me, and if I hadn't of had the world of monster high to escape to during those times I dont know where I would be now as a teen. Sappy story over ☺

I am sorry your children hood / early life being a human was not what you hoped it would turn out. But at least you had something to escape your hell for a while. For me I turned to anime, music, and video games. I cannot recall well but ether my older brother or dad tried to throw away my anime dvd I got on my birthday with the money my Grandmas gave me and I bashed them in the foot with my baseball bat and said,” I got this on my own leave my ( ####) alone!” They did not try throwing my stuff away I told my mom what happened and she ranted at them like a college professor 👩🏻‍🏫 They did not try again but yah. We all need someone or something to hold close to to escape real life and our real Life hell we find ourselves in.... Take care everyone and stay safe out there.

I hate how the new monster high is different because they wanted it to be "more kid friendly ". It was already kid friendly, it was about being yourself! Literally it would talk about teamwork and friendship, and how monster high was for every monster with a freaky flaw, even hybrids!!! And now it's just terrible. Mattel just ruined it, I wish they would of sold it off to someone that cared about the true meaning of the show. The new dolls and episodes are just disgusting. I am so disappointed. Edit: Also, they ended the show to focus on barbie. Barbie fucking sucks, it's about being COMPLETELY PERFECT, even looks the same, acts the same, talks the same! You see no flaw about them, and it's just weird. Monster high had feeling, expressions, emotions! Monster high was about fashion, friendship, teamwork, and loving yourself for who you are! Barbie just wants ever girl to be perfect, and if you have a flaw, you aren't. Monster high was about celebrating being different! And they ended it. As far back as when I was 6 I have always been "edgy" and "goth". Unfortunately not many shows, or toys were centered around that. So when Monster high came out I fell in love. Becoming my biggest obsession along side LPS and MLP.

Why is this comment section filled with toxic idiots hating on Barbie? Monster High taught us to accept everyone regardless of who they are, so why are you doing the opposite by discriminating against something? There's no reason to bring one thing down to lift another. Barbie isn't about being perfect, she has so many flaws in her old movies and things she had to overcome. It's only in Life in the Dreamhouse where she is actually perfect but that perfectness is used as a comedic element. Barbie taught me to love myself for who I am, just like Monster High did. To me, they are the same thing, just different styles. And btw, Monster High only has that typical super skinny body on all the girls just like Barbie does. I love both and it hurts me to see ppl hating on one thing when they know nothing. And don't even make any excuses on being rude just bc it's "ur opinion". Frankie would be disappointed in ya'll. This is how fanwars start. Good job.

Ohana Keyton - I bought them many years ago when they first came out, but I’ll try to find you some links to the ones I found on YT. 😆 Edit ~ if you check my account, I’ve put a playlist of some of the new films, the characters look pretty different. 13 wishes, fright camera action and freaky fusion got deleted 😭 There’s also a monster high KZread channel with short videos, just type into the search bar “Monster High channel” and it’ll come up with it😆💗
