2 thoughts: 1. Gui's first run push progression the most out of any of the landed runs and I feel like should have won. 2. At the same time, Eddy's run, while the exact same as last year, is still unbelievably difficult and I can understand why it one. If he threw down the same line with the 900 at the end there would have been no question in my mind.

It’s tough but I think Gui gets pretty heavily underscored. There was vert best trick (vert alert) recently where he did a perfect nollie 900. They either didn’t even give him a medal or only gave him bronze which was a ridiculous robbery. Gui Khury got robbed. Just because you’re the first to stick a line doesn’t mean they should start scores in the 80s. If 88 is the mark for a run with 2 clean 900s and a 720 over the gap, everything else has to beat the mark to outscore It. As soon as the guy got a 91 for a run with a HAND DRAG, I was livid. Seems rigged.

Honestly, it’s that flat 900s aren’t what they used to be anymore. It doesn’t get judged the same when the difficulty level is different nowadays. Some of these kids have pulled 1080s before.

@@asthecitysleepsofficial just because the young guys can do 900s now doesn’t mean that trick isn’t out of most of the other guy’s league. I can’t think of a precedent in any other sport in which the more difficult progression of the sport is rewarded first with high scoring, then punished a few years later.

If I was Gui Khury I would just repeat whatever trick combination the top spot does only cleaning it up and adding an extra spin somewhere. These judges literally down grade him simply because he's young.
