The execution wasn't poor. I was gonna rage too until I actually saw it. Last year was a normal cliffhanger, bent up, simply letting go. He actually did completely straighten his body this time (which is why he called it a jackhammer). It turns the difficulty up much higher because it COMPLETELY stops momentum. He earned the win 💯

I think Rob deserved the gold, both tricks are insane but his was perfect

that front flip lazy boy couldn't have been any cleaner

Between the lame announcing and the crappy camera work, I don't know which one is worse. Maybe go back and look at some old tape of the beginning of FMX and learn a few things from the OG's!

Usually they make the choice to pass because they can't do anything else that would change their score. With how much risk there is in every jump, it's better to let your first score sit and risk a silver than risk your life.

I've been watching this since the beginning... they are slowly killing this sport. I love this stuff and all try to support as much as possible, but where is the heart of expanding the sport?

DUDE! The cliffhanger front flippy is ULTRA WICKED! STOKED they did Jackson correct cause even though the 1st attempt wasn't clean it STILL beat the Lay-Z-front flip, which was Still BFA! Insane that a backflip + trick combo lands a score like a heel clicker did back in '02! LFG!

Jackson should definitely be happy with that outcome, watching all the best trick attempts was an experience.😜👻👽

This event has gone down hill so bad

Could you imagine being hyped up your hot and sweaty and thirsty and someone hands you an energy drink?😂…. 🤮

At first I was gonna rage cuz it looked like it was gonna be Kyle Loza all over again (he won 2 years in a row doing the same exact trick in the same exact way), but Jacko actually did step it up big time, enough to win IMO 💯 Hix extension was MUCH bigger here, and actually straightened his body. It was worth the score

FMX IS DYING: youngest competitor is 28. Also almost 20 years later double backflips are still a competitive trick… Shows you how ahead of the game TP199 was

Jackos been rewarded for going hard twice, the format of best of two doesnt work, guys land a hard trick and the second try they just dont even try, mix the scores of the two jumps and make them send it if they want the chips

Commentators are just getting worse.

Sick stuff. I know the adrenaline must be pumping but on the chip almost every time after they land. Kinda unnecessary.

1st Flying Japanese was Eigo Sato and Daice Suzuki no ?

I hate to say it but I think freestyle Moto is on its way out. Like why are there only six guys, and dudes in their 40s? The sport has gotten too insane. Too many deaths and no new up and comers

It burned fast and hot but the progression has definitely slowed and the sport is becoming too dangerous for any more evolution in a competition environment. 2002-2010 were peak.

Sorry, but without Rinaldo, this contest is way less interesting. One of the highlights is seeing what sort of crazy trick he's gonna try to throw out. Don't know what it is that they don't invite him back sometimes.

Of course dudes are "playing it safe" when theres a half inch of dirt in half of a concrete lot for dirt bikes. No foam barriers, too cramped conditions to speed up and slow down, people just walking around right after a landing, I wouldn't go hard either. Greed is what's killing this event style. Put it back in the real outdoors.

Can someone explain to me how best whip is interesting whatsoever. Like if a whip is so impressive why is it not done in freestyle then? It really feels like it’s being pushed on us. Always has. This event doesn’t belong at X. It’s like if BMX held a bunny hop competition or if they did a skateboard Ollie contest.

I like it. But I think it used to be cooler and have more energy to it when there were more moto events. There used to be freestyle, best trick, speed 'n style, step-up, sometimes racing/Enduro, and quarter pipe best trick. So having best whip in the mix was really cool.

@@carterkinnick step up is impressive still so I get yea there. I would rather see step up than whip. Even freestyle, Moto used to be much better like they would do runs on multiple jumps. whereas now two jumps each on one ramp.

Yea i know it was already said above, but it's just because it was recently uploaded. The higher resolutions take longer to process so the lower options are available so you can still watch it.
