The Ghost Child seems to just like rats, and when they see the injured baby one, they tried to take it back to their room, but sadly got caught. And with Mono, it looks like he was a leader/part of a group that were surviving in the City, that Shadow Person locked them in and set fire to their home. Maybe Mono hiding in the TV then getting... attacked...triggered his powers and he teleported to the Woodlands

Yeah, i'd say mono is definitely some kind of a leader. Like the way he tried to gain six's trust when he rescued her from the hunter feels like a leader inducing hope and courage to his fellow broken comrade. And the way he always leads the way throughout the whole game.

Ok so with the comics help, I believe that this is a shared nightmare dimension for children. The landscape is full of nightmare tropes and imagery. Schools, hospitals, ships and the sea, being hunted down, being trapped, peoples faces being distorted or missing are all classic nightmare tropes. I think with the reveal of mono as the thin man, it is implying the monsters are internal constructs of the children. I also think this means that Six is clearly on loop to become the Lady which others have also theorized. Where I start adding on is the comics. I believe the overweight boy in the school with the lollipop grows up to be the Doctor in the loop. Lollipops are given at the doctors office. This is a hint to his tie to the doctor. The little girl from the comic digs out of a cell with spoons that magically appear only to end up right where she started at the end of all her digging. This is another nightmare trope of not being able to escape. The tallies on the wall are similar to what the teacher does on the chalkboard. Perhaps this girl grows into the teacher.

The signal tower that corrupts the faces of the adults can be a form of symbolism to adults not paying attention to their kids anymore and being to attached to entertainment media and such. Which is then would be visualized in the nightmare dimension as this giant signal tower controlling every adult in the world as this is probably how the children see's the whole situation... I feel like that can be nightmare fuel for kids aswell...Great theoryy

Honestly I think the over weight boy was the glitch child that u find in the locker in the school since thats where we last see him in the comic And the boy in the forest is the glitch child find in the toilet since we last saw him there before he got sucked into the TV (now that I say that it makes me think mono was that boy since he was able to go through the tv)

I believe that the eyeball entity wants to basically consume and absorb everything which is why it uses The thin man's powers to influence and kill/absorb people through the tv's. I think for some reason the children are unaffected by this and are killed or taken directly inside the tower so that they become corrupted as well.

My humble opinion; The signal tower entity ( a very Lovecraftian One for sure) can only controll people if they are "old". The Kids, Who are by nature "not controllable" are so Hunted by the entity ( and by extent, It's mionions) as to eliminate the only creature that can stop it's Hunger....

You're correct. The chubby boy can be found in one of the lockers in the school, and the nose bleed girl can be found in a room dug with broken spoons in the hospital. Blindfolded kid is also in the game, as seen in the outhouse, where he is taken.

I literally just realised, On the bandai namco website where it gives a little insight to the different characters, the description reads "The The Thin Man continues his endless journey through this desolate place, haunting the shadows, searching for something..." This hinting towards the fact that he is searching for his younger self to warm himself about six's betrayal And also its endless because its a constant loop... It weird that Mono/Thin Man is trying to warn Mono of Six's betrayal, yet he captures Six instead of killing her. That could have broken the loop right there. Its either the tower won't allow Thin Man to kill six....or Thin Man knows something now that he can't kill Six....

You know what is interesting about all of this comics... in the artbook the creators put a page of the children lined in a group and what's interesting about it is that there are exactly six child, beginning with mono as the first one (which makes sense since his name equals to one or single one) and ending with Six as the sixth one... there are exactly 6 chapters and 6 children... could that mean something for future games.

That child with the ghost costume must've been everywhere in the city then.. there are both portraits of him in the apartments/stores AND there was a drawing of him in the hospital (near the x-ray toy room). Also for chapter 6, my only guess as to where those children are is maybe an orphanage of some sort? And after the fire, some of the children have escaped and are now all over the city, as we see in chapter 5, 4, 3, and 2.

Lol that's what I was thinking

I believe Episode 5 is about The Hunter. His parents were Viewers, and he found himself drawn to rats and animals, thus becoming obsessed with taxidermy and turning into the Hunter. You can see his mask in the episode and it looks more like the Hunter's mask than Mono's mask.

Well its an endless loop LN2=Mono becomes Thin Man and the cycle continues forever (but logically why Mono didnt do other tactics since small Mono already seen that Thin Man failed?) LN1=Six ate the Lady and gained power but she trapped there and the loop continues she becomes the lady and another six come and eat her then repeat forever...seems like revenge for Mono huh, I do think the DLC will be about the hidden stories in the comics and i think LN3 will be a sequel of a new kid sort of a time traveler or something to bring peace back to the world

Little Nightmares has a lot of layers to it, damn! 😆. I love how the comics fill in the gaps, now, especially with the little snippet of Mono’s backstory. The comics are also beautifully drawn and love the 3D effect they have!

The monster seeking Mono wasn't Thin Man, but another being. Maybe the principal or an unknown monster. Another clue was that the monster did not have a hat. Every other comic showed main monsters that we have already encountered. Could also be the Barber, but the shadow doesnt cast a curly hairdo.

Mono is awesome He's a better protagonist, Six is literally his arch enemy.

Seems unlikely because of the secret ending that pretty much sets up LN1. It could be that she made it to the city, got captured - losing her raincoat during the struggle - and dragged to the house in the forest, only to then re-find her raincoat when she returns to the city with Mono ... maybe? Or maybe there's just a lot of yellow raincoats in this universe xD

If she had already gone to pale city she would have recognized at least something there, but by the game she seems to show a behavior of: run First learn Later. It was never actually shown in very little nightmares that the girl who escaped the mansion actually picked up the raincoat... The last time they showed the raincoat in that game, it was merely floating around in the surface of the sea.. Meaning six still doesn't have the raincoat by the end of Very little nightmares and only gets it in LN2 when the raincoat got washed ashore into the pale city... In which it ended up in the middle of the city by some other third party means...

The series is incomplete. A game here is missing, but we can't be sure if it's the prequal or the end. It seems everything will come together when we get that game, and it will work almost like the movie Tenet, as if you watched the first half it made no sense, and you watched the second half it made no sense, yet when you play them all together you begin to understand what is truly happening.

I think I figured out little nightmares in chronological order first is very little nightmares then Little nightmares two and last the original little nightmares. I’m not sure if that’s correct but it’s just my opinion 😁

Still kind of doesn't explain why six's raincoat is suddenly in the middle of the city... Unless something important happened in between those events where six stumbled upon the pale city by just adventuring around, lost her raincoat and then got captured by the hunter...

I think there are other ways to give a reason for six's raincoat to be in the middle of the city than introducing a new six altogether...

@@flamie-1023 i was saying in very little nightmares the mobile game we played another girl who had the raincoat when she died in the game it fell in the water so thats prob why it was im the middle of the city because in little nightmares 2 it was raining so it prob washed up on the shore and the rain swept it up

So from the end of little nightmares 2 it looks like that the world of little nightmares is forever doomed to forever be trapped under the signal tower and thin mono control forever unless six can set it right by saving mono and destroying the tower

I think it goes even deeper than the tower, seeing as in the artwork we can see that the flesh monster in the tower is made out of the people who got sucked into the tv. But then, who built the tower in the first place?

I think mono and his group were students at school before the porcelain invaded him (for example the cafeteria is useless because bullies don't need to eat) and they would have run away because of the bad work of teachers; brutality (like the long-necked teacher), mistreatment of students (by tying them to a chair in the secret room that we discover) but allegedly arrested by school staff

the last comic with mono is just, "another one bites the dust"

thin man was a future-like mono cuz at the ending it seems like mono was betrayed by six and now he was just at the chair as days go by he grew up and i was shock when he was actually the thin man

In conclusion: Mono’s paper bag is OP.

It's likely just gameplay mechanics, but one thing I noticed about Little Nightmares 2 is that, while everyone is trying to kill Mono, they go out their way to capture Six. Considering what she is capable of in LM1, I wonder if the entity within the signal tower specifically wants Six and the Thin Man isn't trying to break the cycle to save Mono, but for Six.

Now that I think about it.... Mono woke up infront of broken television at the beginning right? It's possible is his trigger of his power. You know the trigger from fear of this mystery shadow capture him? He might accidentally activate his teleportation thingies and straight went to the wood, where he will meet Six for the first time.

My head during EP:6 Wait... Mono is the prefix for one, and the children are getting taken away... and he's the one survivor left... *realizes*

I can't move on with that ending 😭

I would love if little night mares 3 comes out and in it Mono and six re-unite and six actually feels guilt for what she did

Okay this is just what I noticed but in the world of LN2 , all the villains seem to be attached to some sort of pseudo life form. The hunter has all these taxidermy kinda figures, the doctor has mannequins around the hospital, the teacher has these bully kids. And by how they act, they seem to be quite careful about them too unless they spot some actual life forms like that of six and mono. Why is that?

a lot of theories but every one allways forgets details, so if you keep on making them start to keep these questions in mind: 1)why a lot of paintings pictures the children that are beeing chased down? 2)why everyone in the city has the same paintings? 3)where do the children come from? 4)why the people in the city are all identicall? 5)why you start the game by dreaming your objective? 6)why the children act like they know where they are going, and not just surviving? 7)what happens in the time while mono grows up? 8)since six was "splitted" by mono's power, could mono do that to himself? 9)is mono trapped by the tower's power or the opposite? or they stalled? 10)why six had comfortable memories in the tower, while mono got an empty room? 11) what happens in the time while six grows up? 12)how did the thin man reach to the hanging room? 13)are we sure the signal tower is the only building that it's actually flesh?

I don’t think the kid in the Hole dies in the end, because if you throw cheese in the Hole it g’ets eaten, but if you throw anything else in, than it g’et thrown back.(the comic with the doctor)

Any one else notice that Mike’s voice sounds more filled with emotions in blind reaction videos and play throughs, yet when he does theory videos his voice is filled with more mystery and is kinda monotone? Anyways I think it’s a little detail that is enthralling.

Episode 6 is probably just showing how mono got to the woods at the start since he sat in a TV and probably at some point ended having his powers take him to the woods before the figure caught in, leading to the start of the second game.

In some concept art you can see six children. Mono was the first and six the sixth. The ghost kid was the forth. I think this kids name is probabaly something that has to do with four since mono has to do with one and he is the first and six is the sixth.

I had an idea, this doesnt cover everything but the Veronica Song. I think it alluded to the ending of LN2. What if its backwards, not the song but the order. I'm not sayin six's name is actually veronica, but the veronica is representing her. "Sent on a ferry above our sea" may refer to mono and six on that door sailing out to the city, not fully sure "Run run here comes veronica" could be how six took mono from the TV before she was taken "Come come he cut veronica" being thin man taking six "Come fun here comes veronica" could be mono saving six from the tower. Skip, "no more bellman among the sea. Hello, hello, we are lonely" and"my way, my way And you'll see a halo ascending above our sea." Since I cant explain that yet. "Help her help her and you'll see" being Mono going to help six and seeing her being distorted by the tower "Dont leave me" being mono struggling to catch up with six as they escape "He hung he hung" being mono hanging from the ledge by six holding onto him "Come with me oh no no" is six making it look like mono will be goin with until she lets go of him And finally "having a nightmare in a boat" is a fast forward to six abordt the maw It got holes but I really like the idea, please see this

the real question is: how the heck does the paper bag stay intact when it's hit by water?

Maybe because the state of the world was affected by the broadcasting tower, "humanity" found a solution in The Maw; a Place where humanity could survive. Where children where taken by force, and locked up so they could be safeguarded, then they grow up, and eating those ones who have died in an endless cicle. That's why children are so important throughout the first game, that's why everyone's out to get you.

I love all your videos on Little Nightmares! I am still confused as we know LM2 is a prequel where Very Little Nightmares fits in the storyline unless im missing some key lore. Love all the content delving into all the LM lore!

The song she is playing is called Chopins Etude in A Minor also known as the Winter Wind

I'm imagining that the guy at the end of Comic #6 squeezed himself into the TV to catch Mono.

I believe the tall figure from episode 6 is the Thin Man. There was a more clearer picture on the wiki, and you could see the figure's face. It was similar to the Thin Mans wrinkled face, and it wasn't disfigured like the viewers. Maybe the Thin Man isn't as old as he is in the game yet, explaining the less bulky and more gangly appearance, and also why he hasn't aquired the hat yet. It is also pointed out that time doesn't work the same way in the signal tower, so maybe the Thin Man is able to age more quickly when he is inside the tower? One more important detail is that when the Thin Man kidnaps children, their physical forms are taken, but their soul energy manifests into their figure, explaining the glitches remains. The kids who were taken in comic six look similar to the glitched remains we encounter throughout the game, so the figure who took them away in this comic had to be the Thin Man. Sorry if this comment was late, but I hope it gives some people an idea!

I'm inclined to think that the parents all became so addicted to the tvs that they began to neglect their children and the children were forced to scavenge for food.

In little nightmares 2 you can find a room full of cages with rats in them whith a glitching remain trying to reach up to touch the cages suggesting that the ghost kid looked after rats and brought them back to his den and the gliching remain could be ghost kid

Guys, i think the man in the comic 6 is the north wind monster,cuz the place was set on fire just like it happened to village of the the brown-coat wearing-boy in the little nightmares comics who was sitting in front of a campfire with 4 other refugee kids where six too joins them...cuz..the monster we saw in this comic is not thinman(because it's not wearing a hat),not the viewers(cuz they can't move that fast and grab multiple kids that swiftly)

Episode 6 is probably about a group of kids, locked in a room thats on fire and also full of mannequins. The fire is keeping the mannequins at bay. The kids tried to escape, but then the sprinklers put out the fire, so the mannequins started grabbing children. That’s what I think it’s about, or it could be the thin man idk

I do wonder if the tall figure in Mono's chapter was the Thin Man, there was a lot about that character (the way they took children especially) that reminded me of the Thin Man. In the ending of LN 2 we saw that the Thin Man only acquired his hat later on in his life, so that might explain why a hat was not present in the shadow over looking Mono in the broken TV. He might not have gotten his hat yet. Also it would make sense if that was the Thin Man because the Thin Man leaves behind Glitching Remains when he takes children, and those children and the glitching remains look very similar to each other in terms of designs.

So this explains the soul remains in the hunters toilet, the secret room in the hospital, the locker in the school with the rats in it and the ones in the damaged buildings in pale city. Cool.

Does anyone notice it too? Six's chapter, the chapter 1, which also means Mono and then Mono's chapter is in the 6th Chapter. Nice detail . . The ending of LN2 tho😭😭

did you notice how during the time your disguised as one of the children in the school the kids sing the song from the tv you use to distract the janitor in little nightmares 1 :)

Well, this comic ends with Mono in a TV, and LN 2 starts with him coming out of a TV. So maybe he has his powers earlier than we thought, but he didn’t start getting control of them until chapter 4.

I find it interesting how the "civilians" have different motives in both games. In the first one, they are mostly all gluttonous wanting to continuously eat just like Six (Six's ability to *consume* powers). Then in the 2nd one, they are all addicted to the television broadcast which is linked to Mono's ability to manipulate television to his will. Also just thinking but the civilian's dedication to watching television could be tied to another one of the deadly sins - Slothfulness. Again, jumping possibly too deep into the rabbit hole but look at this from the Bible: Proverbs 6:16 "There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him:..." The first game had Six (6) as the main protagonist then the second game has Mono (1) as the main protagonist with Six as the companion. Game 1: Six Game 2: Mono Six Proverbs 6:16 You can find meaning in anything if you try hard enough. Read Proverbs 6:16-19 (9 could possibly be referring to our initial beginning perception of six being inverted by the end but I don't have evidence of that from the game/could also refer to six's age)

Let's take a further look at Proverbs 6:16-19 16. There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, 19 a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. 17 - The towers true for is flesh with eyes which towers above everyone else looking down. The tower sheds innocent blood through its influence. 18 - It has wicked plans for its own gain and most people would describe the tower as evil. 19- It breathes out lies through its broadcasts and through its broadcast sows discord among the civilians causing them to do terrible things to each other. Also, the tower is constantly wanting flesh or in other words, it has a lust for flesh which is another deadly sin.

The sound of the end of the last comic sounds kind of like a broken TV, like if at that moment, Mono got teleported to the forest...

Great, now I can't sleep after that episode 5...

When the dark person or entity touched mono was like Mono: don’t touch me mother ######

All before the Chaos there was regular days, days of what you see in life. All of the sudden you hear the sound of shrieking and you dissappear. But not for long, some people are turned into smaller versions of themselves and others are turned into monsters. With everyone now shrunken they must find a way to survive. While the creatures are all still around and lurking everyone is scared and they don't know what to do but Mono had a plan. If we stick together we survive longer. That was the case up until the fire. As the thin man slowly walkd up to mono instead of killing him he is lucky enough to be teleported through the TV to the woods where LN2 begins. The thin man is no regular man, it's mono and he is stuck in a forever loop thanks to six. It's strange to see him actually grow up and not become some disgusting monster. That's you you know it's Mono. Also the reason for the hanging could've been to escape his forever loop.
