Loving this game! I'd like to see more episodes! It seams that the monorail could be used in very different ways to improve your base!
Mega base can't wait to see it all humming away with monorails taking final products to a storage section
Personally I think you should take a break until 0.1.2 (0.1.1 is QOL changes) adds new content. You still have the last three Factorio Story missions. End of July means Coffee Stain is back from vacation so Satisfactory Update 8 stuff should be coming as well.

the last upgrade for the victor station is just a punch in the face when it comes to power requirement, I had to build soooooooooooooo many accumulators. I think some 750ish are needed.
Does both ends of the monorail need to have power to work, or is power transmitted through the rails? If the latter is the case, it should be pretty easy to setup a massive factory with rail links to distant mining sites, receiving ingots and sending fuel back. Even if that's not the case, transmitting power through cables should be a pretty easy task.

Both ends need to be powered. So the first thing I tried was running high voltage along side the monorail, but the far end kept saying not enough power. I think its a bug.

@@haxi52 yep it is a bug, a work around is connecting both sides with power floors, let it run and then you can delete them or leave them. It is a pain but it works. I ended up leaving them as after a few runs it stopped working again after deleting the power floors.

I'm on console, for me you can have just the shipping end powered and it will send without the receiving end powered. If you do thet you would have to take everything out of the receiving end by hand.

Yeah it's bugged, I have to have a small separate power station for the other end to send from that, receiving is fine has to be something to do with HV cable not transmitting stored power
Figured out the conundrum of the charging of the mono rail stations - using cable to power a independent platform (like Lima's blue core production) does not transfer the charge from the accumulators. No issue with that - putting some of those accus on Lima's platform should solve the issue, right? Wrong, their performance gets added to overall charge but do not work for the mono rail station. Whether that is a bug or intended is however unclear as there are two ways to solve the issue: 1. Connect the platforms with flooring - pretty daunting when you have big differences in height, like from the elevator to Victor\Lima 2. Put the monorail station on it's own platform with a single accumulator and then create a small hydro electrical station connected to it via flooring - using cables disables the charge transfer to the mono rail station again. It requires two turbines for the charge rate and either a single Mark@ or 4 Mark1 generators. In case of a remote mining operation you obviously need to add more power with a ratio of 1 turbine per 2 generators as usual. Note: I would suggest to switch to Mark2 miners asap here as providing fuel will be tricky - the rail station has a huge storage capacity that will simply gobble up your fuel production. 2 Mark2 miners (three outlets each) will fill a Mark2 belt and use up 6 of the 8 slots of the station.
Loving this game so far. My only issue is on console you can’t drag items and place 1 in each slot in the storage to limit the amount
Hey man, love the content. Just letting you I’m a tad further than you and there is still at least 1-2 more episodes worth of content. The elevator is NOT the end of the game. Close though!
is there an episode missing? Paladin is an unexpected voice

It's a nice green cube 🤣🤣 found it the other day in what seemed like a ship that took a nose dive into the planet, could be some kind of oversized drilling rig.
Would suggest some build optimisation and layouts for (e.g.) mining, threshing, main bus and kickstarting base.
Wow.. I did not met Techtonica at this point, and at the first glance I thought it is DSP... I think I should try this game also.
I would wait for more content of the game.
if you are watching this tutorial to know how to use the rail runner, you stand under it and hold spacebar for about a second. there are no instructions. the magnet just has to be in your inventory.
I'd love to see some of your ideas for getting more output from things, like thrashers which are always backed up in my base. I had the idea to use the stack inserters onto a mixed line and then just drag that out super far and have loads of filter inserters pulling off of it... That doesnt fix the consumption problem, but ut certainly addresses that one bottleneck... Anyway, Im interested in your machinations around kncreasing throughput, so I guess that means I want to see you build a megabase? Lol.

Yes, we definitely need stack filter inserters for the thrashers, I've also noted a bug that sometimes inserters get out of sync and will not drop an item on an obvious empty slot on a belt. I find removing the item in its hand sometimes fixes the problem, and if not, replacing it seems to.

I use a monorail to bring items to different floors also it may have just been easier to add the monorail to the floor that your making the science , the rails bend alot better , rather then a conveyor but it looks cool.
still back on episode three right now, so maybe youve figured it out. You can chop the trees with your pickax to remove them.
What I NEED to know. Does the Monorail come with signals? Any kind of routing? Or is it literally just a simple A to B system?

Not sure if it will change in the future but currently it's just a simple A to B system.

A to B, it will currently glitches through anything in its way. So you could route it through a wall and whatnot but they will probably patch that soon.
You cannot power a monorail via a HV line because it does not see stored power when it is connected this way. Just mentioning the bug. I'm sure this will be fixed soon.

Yep, I was like wtf is wrong, why isn't this working... unplug the cable from the power stepper, bam all 2GJ became available to my monorail so until fix, I need a separate power block just for power cables and steppers
Also while the core composeres were filling you should have gone to the high ledge to watch them compose - !!!
Love this game I have an issue with the monorail it was working at first but now is showing I do not have required power says requires 12.5 mg I have 90 million kilowatts of power which comes to 9 gigajoules and 16895 kilowatts of production do I need more production power how do I get my monorail system to work and thank you very much for all of your videos love them and all of your games you play play the same games
Did you know I made it this far with ONE core composer 😃 just erase it and place it in a new location. Heheh. I love this game.

you are incorrect about the elevator.
By me the monorail is bugged. I cant place any monorails, only between 2 stations but not on the floor. And he says always to low on energy but i placed a town of energy there... so dunno what happened. dont found solution by googling
Did you complete the task that say: "Buld 2 stations with at least 5 monorails track connected"? I can't make this one to work :/

I think megabasing should wait for the QoL updates at a minimum.
Clear out the whole level.....too much?
No elevators? Okay, I'll check back later. Not worth the hassle. How can any 3D placement solution not understand lifting and lowering goods/item between levels.
I llike this game but the controls are stupid dificult ... the belts and everything is so user unfriendly i rather play something else
