I *WOULD* give a full analytical take on this version of Monopoly. But, it's *JUST* like the SNES version, so I'd end up repeating myself. Regardless... Final Rating: 9/10 Not a bad option to play such a classic board game on a Genesis.

My favorite versions of Monopoly are the NES, SNES, Windows CD-ROM and the Wii versions!

@James Van den Bergh I prefer the SNES version. Better audio quality.

Played this with cousins and friends back then as a kid fun times and even better now with my own family it’s great especially for my kids

Oh the memories. I loved playing against the computer opponents and the short games.

Love this game so much, I can watch gameplay of it, lol. Got my wife and kids into playIng it now so I’m gonna have about another hundred hours invested into this game

Tbh, I prefer this over the SNES version. It just feels more secure, like the game won’t suddenly glitch or break mid-game as much as the SNES.

I grew up playing this game at my grandparents with my little brother! We’d always play this with our bowl of Cheetos puffs and just button mash because we were about 6 or 7 and had no idea what we were doing! 😂

Faster way to finish the game.When you land anyware than the green/blue street,instead of buying that property,go to auction and make the other players bid more than the buying value is.Did it as one player with 3 cpu players and finished the game in 20 minutes.

Now, I would normally analyze this game. But It's just like the SNES game, so I'd end up repeating myself. I think It's worse, but it is still a good option. Final Rating: 9/10 Sound could be improved a little.

Sound used the GEMS sound driver, which isn't really a sound driver of quality...

Oh man, I remember when. We had a choice of $200 or 10% in taxes to pay, or that Lux tax was only $75. Remember that brief time Chairman of the board was missing? Or was that opera Opening?

I miss playing this on Sega Genesis.

This is actually the first video game I played, I was six, I was at my grandmother's house, she had a Sega Genesis in her house with a copy of Monopoly, Columns, Wheel of Fortune, Taz in Escape from Mars, William's Greatest Hits and NHLPA Hockey '93, and the first game I picked out of that, was this game.

Great collection there. Can't imagine how many hours I sank into Columns and Monopoly on my Grandma's Genesis. She actually had Columns on Sega CD lol

To this day, my father and I still say "Dontcha be comin' back here now" from when you get out of jail

They need to make a version for the next gen systems where you can play on any version of the game that has been made like Star Wars fallout the golden girls transformers and the background should be the same version as the board maybe they will come out with a engineering version where you get a place then when you get 3 you wonder how to build the houses and how to make more electricity this game will never get old

Whenever I watch this game whether it's on my nomad or on KZread I keep thinking Mr. Monopoly says when you leave jail why did he coming back here now!

Only differences I know of are the Super NES version had the “outside the prison gates” scene for when you land on Just Visiting, while the Genesis version had the police station for Just Visiting and Go To Jail. However, the Electric Company lacked the electric power plant backdrop and had the same backdrop as the Water Works on the Super NES. The building music has more length on the Super NES than the one on the Genesis. The prison cell Mr. Monopoly’s in, the Genesis version had a turquoise/aqua cell with no steel bars, while the Super NES version had the silver cell with steel bars.

I actually really like the Genesis' sound, but this game blows in that category.

Sidenote: you could technically make an AI only game. Selected 8 and made them AI - still watching who'd win.

I remember as a kid game lasted 9 hours but my guy was at $81,000 for the game since so many people ended up in my hotel spots

Other than regular Monopoly, I own *_Rick & Morty Monopoly_* , *_Sailor Moon Monopoly_* and *_Pokémon Monopoly_* . It's always fun to gather friends and see who can pick the Car before anyone else can, or purposely screw someone who rolls Community Chest and goes to Jail on the 1st turn. (Me when Setting up the game) (I put the "GO DIRECTLY TO JAIL" cards at the top of the Community Chest & Chance piles) (😏 "Ha ha! This is gonna be good.")

Dorian Scott the variations i know are Game Of Thrones, Harry Potter, for kids, with famous brands and a one which we could cheat.

The amount of fun my family had on this game throughout the years was astounding, talk about getting your moneys worth. A lot of my relatives including my mom & grandma have all passed away & they all loved to play this game, shits so nostalgic lol.
