I just saw a documentary about keeping monkey as a pet. Even in their native country they are traumatized due to not being around their own kind and as they get older, into adolescent years they become aggressive. They also do not have proper veterinarian care or vaccinations so, they become sick. Once they get older and are set free cause they are no longer wanted, they will not survive. Do not keep them as pets

He's tucking into the milk well enough. He'll let youu know when he's hungry.....

Due tu the fact that she ate beans before this meal and has bloating and nausea...and that was hard on her stomach..if you watch the video in the wild with these stump tailed macaques(and all owners should watch it) you will see that at this age like Mynu,they don't eat anything !!!!!!!...they just suck their mother's milk....althought it can reach and eat all that plant food that the mother eat...small babies never do that...or they eat a very small negligible quantity...one flower or a leaf the plant. That's why you shouldn't give them beans,peas,,green beans,cooked turnips either...all that should be postponed for later.

you have no idea what you are talking about. The mother stops producing milk after 2 months. After 2 months any time they are on the teet they are not getting milk and only using it as a pacifier. That's why the mothers weaning is so brutal. Even when the mother is producing milk she runs out daily. She's not producing a constant stream the entire time the baby is sucking. Just because you see a baby suckling, does not mean it's actually drinking. The mothers don't typically provide food for their infants either. They instinctual forage for their own food a few weeks (typically about 6-10 weeks) after birth and they will also eat scraps from the mother if she drops any. Mynu is at the point where a mostly formula/ milk diet is stunting his growth and really messing with his degestive system. Formula is not meant to be a meal replacement for one, and also it's not designed for monkeys their diets are way too different than ours for formula to provide any real nutritional benefit. He needs sustenance through fruits and vegetables. And a lot of it. Half his weight at least. Formula is often the reason why they have wet poops. Once they start eating their fruits veg and not taking as much formula is when they have solid poops and that's what you want. So many people are so ignorant about the milk and or formula. Even with a human baby what else goes along with formula? Oh yeah, BABY FOOD. people like to say "give him milk he needs milk" like he's supposed to drink milk forever and don't understand there's a time when one needs to STOP DRINKING MILK.

There's no way for her to know that the beans would upset his stomach or make him a little gassy. It's not her fault, she didn't do it knowing his digestion wouldn't agree. She's still learning, and this time she learned that maybe beans aren't so good for them. She probably won't be doing that again 😂 Anyway, if it was the beans I think it might be best to stay away from complex proteins, like beans. Fruits and vegetables, or variations of, seem to always be the best. 😂 Avocado was a really great idea, they are considered one of the world's few "super foods" for many reasons.

Baby monkeys wean 6 to 12 months in the wild.most are completely weaned by 8 months. They start weaning process at about 3 months. New moms might nurse for a year but they learn by second baby. Some pick up from their moms and cut off before a year. All are different. Its a process. Monkeys should eat grass leaves and mostly raw fruit and veggies. Its healthier for them and builds their immune systems up. You wouldnt believe what injuries and pain wild monkeys endure and recover from with no help but the healing lick of other monkeys tongues. Ive seen them recover from things you wouldnt believe in wild troops they have vreat immune systems but they dont eat cooked or greasy fried foods. The grass and green leaves helps them. They eat just a little like clay dirt that helps their digestive systems. I watch wild troops every week. Arroz films several wild troops in hong kong. He names them and their babies. Its baby season right now and all these babies are so adorable. They have their own living families in the troops. They live and protect each other moms and siblings. They are just amazing. I love all monkeys and primates.

Let Mynu eats the fruit which is rich of digestive enzymes, like papaya, pineapple, kiwi etc. Also, don’t hold Mynu all the time (I know he likes to cling on you in his age), let him walks more and help his digestion as well. ❤

No, he is being held the right amount.He’s just not old enough for all those foods yet. In the wild he would still be getting mostly mother’s milk and not much food. All that food can wait as long as he is getting formula milk.

Strange he wasn't in the mood to eat or drink. I can't think of a reason why besides he just didn't want to at the time. Or maybe Mynu was just a gassy boy. 😂 They go through little mood swings just like we do. Keep trying though, avocado's are great for Mynu. I've never had the red fruit before, always wanted to try.
