@@Tore_Hedenberg In a way it's understandable.. Europe was full of Ye-Ye girls, whom are loved by all. Especially France Gall, but it was Beatlemania time, Rock and Roll. Kids, were perhaps over 60% of the Eurovision audience. What Sacha Distel had for breakfast was probably more important to fan magazines and pulp sheets than a World Class Singer like Monica, a real goddess.Their loss.

Probably the best song ever to enter Eurovision song contest!

Could you imagine that once The Eurovision Song Contest contained songs of importance and dignity,like this one,extraordinary performed by the immortal Monica.

I've played Jazz and listened to uncountable ballads since 1957- this remains No. 1 - I don't know if any class like this exists on the planet anymore.... a perfect singer! She is sorely missed.

A remarkable song, as a huge Eurovision fan its a crime against the contest this scored nul. Voting system in 1963 wasn't great or wide open though, Monica Zetterlund would go on to become a Jazz legend in Sweden and developed a global cult following. I gotta see that movie based on her life

+Jack Walker YES Jack! Remarkable is the word! At the time it was considered 'difficult' and 'inaccessible', etc. I'm old enough to remember this magnificent performance, but due to the fact that it scored poorly, even the song's title was ridiculed by comedians on tv. But listening to it today it is nothing short of marvelous! I have never heard ANYBODY cover this, and (being a musician myself)I can't imagine any one topping it!

Monica was indeed a fantastic jazz singer and definitely belongs to Sweden’s finest performer. The movie about her life is very good too. Too sad that her life would end so tragically in a fire in her flat.

Every time I listen to this, I am taken to a different place and time. Illusive...only a fantasy...a place and time that only exists in my mind....gone, but not forgotten.

Swedens only ever 0 points in Eurovision - whatever she did she did unforgettable in some way or another ;-) Im glad i got to see her live in Malmö in 1992. RIP, dear Monica.

I came here from iTunes and I can't believe this was a Eurovision entry it's bloody brilliant even if I don't understand a word of it. They gave this nil points were they mad it should have won!

Hard to believe that this masterpiece of music got ZERO points in the contest. What a shame. This song is sooooo beautiful. :(

Thank you for taking the trouble to put them on this website. They are very beautiful and evocative lyrics and very much in keeping with the melody.

Performance so ethereal . Like she dissolved the melody and the phrasing belonging to a person not from this world. On top of that a rock.steady technique .

So beautiful! Reminds me of old days.

first came to know of Monica's music in Copenhagen this afternoon and feel in love with her voice whilst in a second hand record shop... The assistant told me a bit about her history and a biography film about her life....

What a wonderful floating, highly 'impressionistic' song - but after 2 and a half minutes it's obvious it doesn't go anywhere to a certain melodic release, which would've been not the worst of ideas... nonetheless I love this song VERY much and the 0 point result is eternally inexcusable!

Eoropean song contest. What a joke ! Was from the very beginning. 0 points for a song jewel like this one. ...........!? I suppose it says everything about that silly and stupid “song competition” there needs to be said. Monica and the team around her must have had a big laugh afterwards I hope. I am old enough to have witness the event live on tv and even then I was mesmerised by its beauty. Bravo Monica.

Despite the 0 points, this song is one of the really strong swedish evergreens, made in numerous coverversions.

@Siriussupporter Melodifestivalen hade en helt annan status på den tiden. Det var på den tiden då melodierna tävlade, inte artisterna eller framträdandena. Idag är melodifestivalen alldeles för kommersiell.

Ha ha ha, no for god's sake. She had a standard phrase in a theater play "Men are my life I'm telling you" (sv. karlar dä ä mitt liv dä se), and everybody that knew her smiled, because she was so self ironical and true in that statement 🤣
