The book is really good too. Although, like most books, quite different, and less of the emotional side with the daughter. However the book has time to go further into Billy as a player, a lot of the players the A's scout, and their Bill Jamesian baseball analytic use. I honestly never felt any issue with the pacing or run time of the film like him. I was really surprised it didn't receive more acclaim, because it wasn't the easiest book to convert into a great movie.

It's actually about 45¢. Works like this: There are 10 ears of corn: assets. There is $1.00 currency in circulation as accepted trade value for those assets. Suddenly some evil group of men take over control of the currency. About 100 years later, an assessment of the economic assets comes in. Again, 10 ears of corn in the system. Except now the evil men pumped in $10,000 dollars to represent 10 ears of corn. What 1 ear used to "cost" was 10¢. Now it cost $1,000. This is what's going on in the USA. Who controls the currency? The Federal Reserve. The USA government orders printed notes (dollars), the Fed attaches interest to each dollar. For the mere use of those dollars, the Government of the USA transfers the required interest debt to the people generating goods and services. How do you steal the goods and services of a nation? You simply control the Fed, pumping worthless paper bills into the system while charging interest for every one, regardless of actual national assets. It's debt that cannot be paid off by design, because the only form of payment the Fed accepts is it's own interest-owed bills. You cannot pay off interest with more interest. This is why popcorn cost $5 before. Now it cost a lot more. "Inflation" they call it. I call it what it is, international financial mafia scheme. The sooner the citizens of the USA move out of dollar bills into something NOT controlled by the Fed, but by the people, the sooner their system crashes and dies, and the assets of the people remain in the possession of the people instead of stolen by the criminal Fed.

Chris, Moneyball is not too long of a movie because the creator projected the heart and technical side of a game using mathematics and statistics to the viewer who are not familiar with baseball across the globe - where all comes down to one thing - Human Capabilities To Adapt Change.
