I started back in the janitorial industry doing floors and carpets for people who didn't know how. Then I networked with some property managers at business happy hours to get leads on contracts. Once I got that rolling I linked up with some folks that I used to trade stocks with back in the day and started investing there. Started going to the local REIA meetings and met a few brothas that were heavy into flipping houses and they put me on to multifamily real estate investing. Networking with people who are doing positive things and making yourself an asset are the main focus when you're ready to come up. Covid19 has also been a blessing in disguise for the janitorial industry. Companies have tripled their spending on sanitizing so some luck is also involved. Build bridges...don't burn them.
