What if Monet painted #NYC? I took the impressionist style painting and applied it to the popular New York cityscapes. So we got a bright and recognizable New York City painting. It has everything we love - the reflection of the city in the water, and a stunning sunset, and a beautiful city line. Of course, this is Painting For Beginners, so I changed and simplified many of the techniques so that this painting could be created both at home, both in the classroom and in #ArtTherapy classes. I think you'll especially enjoy the close-ups - besides showing me how the brush works in detail, you have the opportunity to have some of the coolest moments of #OilPainting. I mean the game of texture, colors, pastiness. Of course, in this painting for beginners there are moments reminiscent of other impressionists, Monet's painting is multi-layered and each layer dried for several weeks, but in order to understand how to paint like Monet, I think this is enough. In addition, this picture will allow you to learn how to paint sunset cityscape. I also show one very simple technique that can be used when painting sunset, it is very easy, but the main thing is not to put pressure on the marker. In addition, you will see how to paint water with oil easily and quickly, and also enjoy the soft smears of oil paint. In order for reflection painting to be beautiful, you need to remember one main rule - the water is darker than the sky, so the reflections in the water are darker. Personally, I added a little umber in this New York skyline painting tutorial (it's on the video, don't miss this moment).

In general, this is not important, but an important guideline is the price; the cheapest ones will be difficult to draw. I wouldn't use Chinese brands. I usually have Van Gogh (who doubdt), Winsor and Newton (they have 3 price lines, the cheapest is ok) or Titan (this is a local Barcelona production). If a more economical option, you can look at Pebeo, if a more expensive option - Old Holand or Gamblin
