You must have some gorgeous pieces! 😊
Very nicely done, but turn off the background music, please.
I was in my 20’s in the 80’s ….I loved Monet and Napier jewelry that I would see in the department stores….McAlpin’s and Pogues In Cincinnati…I rarely could afford to buy it…..but I would save up my money and I purchased a few pieces that I still have today and they look almost new, and I still wear them.

It is so nice that they hold their shine and their value. I agree, some pieces, you question if they are old or new, because they look so good to this day. Thanks for watching. 😊
Thank you for sharing your knowledge

Excellent video. Thank you very much. I am new to reselling and I have a lot to learn. I want to sell a matching pair of Monet pierced earrings. There is a Copyright Symbol and then the word Monet on only one of the earrings. Each backing shows a mark of 14 karat gold. The earrings show no gold markings at all. I did test the earrings and they test for 14 karat gold. Do you think Monet would make gold earrings that do not have a gold marking on the earrings themselves, but show a marking on the backings? What do you think? Thanks again.
Great video with a lot of helpful info about! I have a necklace with a Monet hallmark without a copywrite symbol but it has a newer lobster clasp. Could this mean it is a fake? Or did Monet produce newer ones without the copywrite symbol.

Could be a fake, or someone replaced the clasp at one time. Hard to tell without seeing it. Monet is still being produced today so there may possibly be some out there with no copyright symbol, or its marked somewhere else with the symbol. There are a couple scenarios. Thanks for watching. 😊
The background music is to loud and annoying!!
Very helpful info, but geez, don't companies understand the importance of consistency?! Mine are marked Monet Patd. (not PAT. PEND.) Who know how old they are? They are in such gorgeous condition, I find it hard to believe they're from the 1950s.

Once the patent was approved then it was labeled Patd. Is the mark on the clasp? That patent might be for that particular Monet clasp which could be a range of dates even into the 80s. You will need to base the age on other features then, like the style. Thanks for watching!
I'm new to buying vintage jewelry. Some to keep, and some to sell. This was a great video. I have a necklace with a Monet tag, no copyright on either side. However, it also has a lobster clasp. That's an obvious mismatch, if I understand the dating information provided here. Do I have a fake Monet? I'd be happy to send a photo. Thanks so much!

I wish I could watch this but I can't. It seems very informative but my ears aren't able to block out the music to concentrate on what she's saying. Bummer! Maybe I have some kind of inner ear problem.

@@FindsofYesterday That is awesome! Thanks for letting me know. I'll definitely watch it as soon as I have a chance. I can't even be in a room with more than one conversation going on. I withdraw because I can't focus in on the person talking to me while others are talking. I can't block out other noise or talking or music, etc. I've always been this way. It begins to sound like people are talking in a foreign language. It's weird. Maybe its nerve damage. Anyway, thanks so much for letting me know. I look forward to watching your video.
Hello, how do I know that this is gold? I have a Monet brooch, but I don't know if it's fake or not🤣

I have seen some newer hangtags with just an M on them, yes.
