She is one of the best violinists in history. Im crying.
I like her timbre overall, I can listen to this all day long.
Mone, Bravo Forever!!👏👏 😍
How ridiculous it was not letting her play the final. Shame on them. We are just so lucky to have her in our musical life. Wish her a brilliant and sustainable career.

Lovely tune and interpretation
Both of the dresses she wore to the competition are stunning.
Am I missing something, or is this greatness? The accompanist is doing great also.

bravissima.....

Clearly a great musician.
Why on earth have I only just heard of this violinist?! Stunning player.
你的演奏太精彩,潇洒,生動。表情豐富,优雅。音色透明,优美,動听。能听到你的出色演奏,是人生最高的亨受。
This made my heart cry
brava!!!!
1:00 Legende by Wieniawski
More than half her recital is the Grieg sonata, a piece most of the audience have never heard before. The other 2 short pieces are good, but I question her unusual taste in the choice of repertoire. She needs a more interesting repertoire for this audience to succeed.
Perfect expression. And look at her left shoulder and base of her neck. If there is a problem, it is the jealousy of the judge.

Elle avait sa place en finale car elle a tout ; le son l'expression , la precision technique . Drôle de cuisine dans ce jury ..
DIVINE ! ♡♡♡♡♡☆☆☆☆☆
One pupil of Dolothy Delay has once told me , when we saw one pupil of Zakher Bron playing, she was a natural gifted child but now she became like this and I am sad. That is not about Mone. I believe Mone is super talented and I love her musicality, but now I found somehow what he really wanted to say. Teacher can also kill the natural flavour sadly. And the mother also.

Dorothys students ended up relatively bland like herself too except perlman. Delay was a second rate violinist according to my teacher who was under her himself. Don't see what you mean.

My understanding is that you think Bron was not a good teacher for Mone, is this right?
Wow, how can she play with bandages on her fingers. Seems like it would badly affect intonation. IDK, guess it works for her. :/
Q precioso instrumento debe ser extradivarios
Corruption!! Why she should not be one of the winners, shame of the juries👎

One can only assume Polish nationalist motivation for her elimination after this stellar performance, or some desire to spite her teacher Zachar Bron. Call it schools of thought. Only one or two of the finalists measured up in the end, so the jury's decision backfired with anticlimactic final concerts. What's more, they lost the chance to hear the Wieniawski 1st concerto. Piss poor judging and backroom politics. Disgraceful. But she will come out stronger, so let's wish her luck. She has a brilliant future.

Yea, I don't know. It's kind of cheating to use any "enhancements" on yourself -- if your fingers are hurting like EVERYONE ELSE's -- you shouldn't be allowed to cushion them or plump them up.

playing with bandages is more like a handicap, it sucks a lot and it doesn't help you at all so I cannot imagine that it would be "cheating" and plumping your fingers literally does nothing I wish I had thinner fingers to be more precise.

I absolutely agree - this competition was thrown in favor of undeserving players for who knows what reason. My personal choice was Amalia Hall. It is quite interesting to research past competitions (Tchaikovsky, Indianapolis, etc.) and see how many first prize winners ended up giving up on solo careers. AND, (the other side of the coin) to find out that some who placed second and third (Leonidas Kavakos, for instance) later developed into stars. Juries can make big mistakes - either through incompetence or corruption. Mone has everything for a top tier career - technique to spare, style, insight, reflexes, conviction, composure, confidence...

Violinists are constantly plagued by fingertip injuries due to unimaginable practice. Listeners need to understand music, not technique. In short, the musical art is that the performer uses the musical instrument to reproduce the intention of the composer, and its interpretation and method are not limited.

I would like to politely disagree... In my opinion, using cushions doesn't "enhance" your tone in any way. Therefore, if it isn't helping the quality of the music, then this shouldn't be considered cheating... And who's to say that other violinists aren't using these too? Wouldn't that make it the standard norm if they did?

I ask mone directly during our concert why she's using bandages. She said that her fingers tend to sweat really hard so she would use these bandages to absorb it
