I think Mondo Rock is one of the greatest Aussie bands. I grew up with this song; can still sing it word for word.

That is an all time fave song of mine. The Mondos pumping it out in venues across Australia in the 80's. Great to be in my 20's in the 80's. McCusker and Ross the Boss made a great song writing duo.

I remembering going to see Mondo at The Patch Coolangatta 1982 NYE playing this song and back then they would start the song as SAVE THE WHALES SAVE THE WHALES..as they were asked by Greenpeace at the time if they would to get the message out.

I used to go to Tracks at Epping as well, back in the early 90's. Then in 2003 every Friday and Saturday night. Now my son and his mates go there... the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!! :-)

Love the backing vocals in this track. It would have been hard to get them so spot-on with Ross's lead vocal phrasing, I'm guessing. Who is singing that high vocal part, Paul or Eric? Whoever it is they picked a bloody good note. Really adds to the sense of urgency.

I've got NO TIME for people who click Dislike on this song
Love the backing vocals in this track. It would have been hard to get them so spot-on with Ross's lead vocal phrasing, I'm guessing. Who is singing that high vocal part, Paul or Eric? Whoever it is they picked a bloody good note. Really adds to the sense of urgency.
Such a class act this Amazing band!! So many hits and what a fab period to be around to enjoy. Are we progressing? Sadly not.
