Thanks for your reply, I'll try it tomorrow. I've measured battery voltage several time, before start it's always about 12.3 - 12.6V. I had no problems with it during the winter (-15C to 0C) and now when it's getting warmer it's started acting like you seen in the video Anyway, I should see garage shortly. Thx

to me the same thing. When it comes to the weather, it's only a third time. Winter is fine

I'm no mechanic, but I would say possibly not the battery because it's able to keep trying... you could jump start it off another car to test that theory though. Alternatively, does the car try to "warm-up" before it ignites? If not, press the start button without your foot on the clutch to let the glow plugs warm up, then dip the clutch and start it. If that helps, the glow plus might not be heating quickly enough. As I say, I'm not a mechanic, but a couple of things you could try!

@@mirinonr if I understand correctly the problem is solved by replacing the starter and battery? i ask because i don't speak english so well and i want to be sure. so I apologize.

@@janoskrisztianszabo9613 Janos, it was 7 years ago :) As I said in description and comments, it was the combination of dying battery + dying starter motor. Please use Google Chrome browser and right click "Translate into Hungarian?" :)

Je to napisane pod videom. Pre pripad ze nehovoris anglicky: Bola to kombinacia porucajuceho sa startera a vadnej baterie. Moj nazor je taky ze ten (indicky) starter sa casom opotreboval a pri startovani zatazoval bateriu natolko ze pri enormnej zatazi odisla aj ta. Takze, bateria vymena, starter repas a klop klop

Díky za rychlou odpověď, baterku mám půl roku starou. Zkusím teda repas startéru a uvidíme ;) tak ať ti slouží :)

@Gavin Bing: It was a combination of dying battery and poor quality of starter motor. Had to replace a battery and refubrish the starter motor. I've been told that the starter motor "destroyed" the battery.. if I would change it sooner, battery might last longer..

I have the exact same issues, although the battery is still under warranty, the starter is getting jammed and not spinning at full speed, it seemed like the battery was not charged but even with jump leads it turns over very slowly, but occasionally spins very fast

I have the same problem now, just fitted a new Bosch battery and still the same problem, my car sounds the same as the car in the video, Ive heard it could be the earth wire from the gearbox to the bodywork, it gets corroded and needs cleaning, so I'll have a look at the weekend before I look at the starter motor....
