Mondello Beach Palermo Sicily Italy 🇮🇹 4K Walking Tour 2022
This is a walking tour at Mondello Beach near Palermo, Sicily Italy taken in 2022. Mondello Beach is where people in Palermo go to, it is very easy to get to with public transport or you can bike there which is the way I went there. The beach is very popular and unfortunately most of it is private so you will have to pay for using the area with the umbrellas. During the summer months the beach is completely packed. Near by Mondello Beach is the Capo Gallo Nature Reserve which in my opinion is better but it is very rocky. Here, you have crystal clear waters, less people and more natural. There is also a mountain overlooking the area for some stunning views. To access the area you only have to pay 2 euros and you can go all along the beach.

Thank you for another great walk, it was interesting to see a corner of Sicily that I haven't seen before. Very enjoyable, especially the Capo Gallo stretch at the end. It's great to see locals of all shapes and sizes out enjoying themselves . . . reminds me of the old Fellini movies a bit 😊

Sono i mesi migliori, come ottobre, io domenica ho fatto il bagno a Mondello e l'acqua è ancora calda. Pensa che a febbraio spesso non scende sotto i 18gradi

As a citizen of Palermo, it’s weird to see Mondello being so appreciated. People here (not me) think it’s the worst beach you could visit, since everybody goes there, including those from bad neighborhoods.

Funny thing is, the most replayed of this video is actually the rocky area north of Mondello, Capo Gallo. A local told me that was better.

@@ArwinTours If you ever want to go back to Sicily for more tours, I recommend checking out the beaches in the cities of Capaci and Isola delle Femmine. That’s where most of the locals go.

yes, you have to be a member of the club, a membership costs around 500€ per year and you can stay as much as you want, or, you can pay daily I think one ticket is 12-15€. all Italy is like this, few free beaches usually super over-crowded with poor, rednecks people.

That's tough. I would just leave important things at your accommodation place. Backpack, towel would be fine just leaving it on the beach.
