Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, Georgia

Located less than 25 miles from Atlanta, the Monastery was founded in 1944 by twenty-one Trappist monks who journeyed from an abbey in Kentucky to rural Georgia with the desire to form a new community devoted to God’s word.
Today, a 2,300+ acre Trappist community of more than thirty monks spanning several generations live, work, and pray together, and welcome visitors year-round from all walks of life. Whether visitors stay for a day or an overnight trip, the experience is one of peace and silence, and allows for a chance to unplug and to immerse themselves in the monastic culture.
