Turning Mon El into a villain was such uncessary change from the comics since there are others legionnaries who became villain (Earth Man and Nemesis Kid being the best exemples) and could play his role in the film.

You're right they could have use Nemesis Kid as a villain but I notice some changes in this so called Tomorrowverse notice the main leaders of Legionnaires Timberwolf and Chemical King in the comics Chemical King is dead Timberwolf wasn't leadership material basically he's DC comic book version of Wolverine it seems John Constantine messed up the time continuum wth his shenanigans of telling Flash to reset the universe after the Apokalips Wars

@@lockskelington314 From what I read, Nemesis Kid was always a bad guy. When he was introduce he was actually for alien invaders and tried to trick the Legion by framing Karate Kid (who was also introduce in the same issue) for his crimes.

Honorable mention to the Long Halloween movie completely ruining the ending by making the killer's reveal completely solidified and not with any lingering concerning questions like the comic did.

Brainy should know brainiac 1 always has a backup plan. Of all people to know Brainiac 1, you’d think Brainiac 5 would.

Everything created after 1940s is too complicated for uneducated masses. Especially in USA. Real advanced civilisation or "super intelligent Brainiac" would create an army of self-replicating machines. He can't know. The blindspots are ingrained. The only reason Brainiac ever reproduced was for backup bodies and it's a damn miracle the Brainiac descendants are independent individuals instead of... just Brainiac.

DC be sitting around like "well who's legacy should we destroy today?"

if moving spreads krytonite, then just removing the knife should not be enough to heal supergirl. There should still be particles of kryptonite flowing in supergirls blood, which of course should kill her.

I think it's sort of like the knife keeps supplying a constant flow of kryptonite that Supergirl can't heal on her own, but once the dagger is out the particles aren't strong enough to sustain themselves and just sort of die out.... Or they didn't think about it idk

Is everyone really that surprised Mon-El was the villain? I suspected it from the beginning and his reasoning is sound for his species: Daxamite are known for xenophobic behavior in the comics (Andromeda, another legion member for example) and believe non-humanoid aliens are disgusting. I know he's usually a hero, but I like the villain he is in this movie because there is actually some motivation in it, in this case his species' xenophobia. Also, Brainiac is terrifying. Brainy literally called the clones his siblings and the dude is literally wearing their faces as they still scream in agony.

oh man in the comics are even worst,is like a purge.

it doesn't look like Brainiac picked the best parts from each clone, it looks like he picked the same damaged parts of each clone. If he was so smart, why would he do that? and the time sequencing is very confusing. The whole story is also irrational.

Brainiac is a super genius and that's the best he could do with making a new body. Why did he need 3 extra faces and why did he skimp out on leg muscles

Mon-El's treachery and betrayal has disgraced the Legion.

At least I'm not the only one who saw that they've turned Brainiac 1 into a Lovecraftian Horror Creature mixed with John Carpenter's "The Thing." His clones are clearly in agony. They should make a horror movie out of him in general after Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham, which it also a Lovecraftian horror movie.

@Will N The JSA was desyroyed in Flashpoint. It has taken nearly ten years for them to reappear un some capacity, and with the butchering of Geoff to their story in the current titles its hard to imagine what we will hace after he has ended with them.

If you manipulate a Man enough he will turn agent everything he used to believe in.

The horrifying thing about the other Braniac clones isn't the fact that they are alive, it's the fact they seem to be screaming their last words. The one that says stay back only makes sense if that is what he screamed before the circle took him to be added to the whole. I'm not sure if they are merely supposed to be unintelligently screaming the few words they have in what remains of their brains, braniac is consciously making them talk to add fear (they are all quiet when brainiac is monologuing and only scream at the perfect point to do so in the monologue), or if they are fully conscious and those are the only words they can say. all possibilities are horrifying.

Anyone remember Alien Resurrection? That film sucked but there was one scene that stuck with me, when the Ripley clone/Ripley8 sees all the other failed projects of rebounding her with Xenomorphic DNA and there's one large blob of Ripley faintly screaming "kill me" to Ripley8 and burned them alive. That's what Brainiac here reminds me of.

This movie is a disgrace. The Tomorrowverse has a horrible obsession with unnecessarily twisting popular heroes into villains for some strange reason.

Personally, I would have put fixing that limp higher on my priority list then grafting the clone's still screaming faces to random parts of my body and making sure they remained conscious of their horrific plight. Ensuring basic structural integrity of my body before indulging in sadistic bling seems like the logical thing to do.

Did they let the live action Supergirl show writers handle Mon-el again? My boy is getting butchered in every adaptations outside comics!!!!

This was a genuine surprise for me because I’m not a diehard sc fan. I love dc but I don’t read all the comics and I don’t have in depth knowledge of its characters and history. But I prefer if someone else was the traitor instead of after seeing him for the first time in CW Supergirl and how others said there are other legionaries who actually turned evil

The only bad Legionaires I can think of are Spider Girl (a rejected Legionaire candidate with superstrong preventive hair who joined the Legion of Supervillains before reforming), Nemesis Kid (a mole who infiltrated the team for the Khunds. He can spontaneously develop powers appropriate to take on a single opponent), Storm Boy (a rejected Legionaire after it was discovered he was using a devise for his storm powers as the Legion only took on people with actual powers at the time). Frankly Mon-el is a better choice than those three for a surprise turncoat villain. Spider Girl doesn't fit the bill, and I would not be surprised if there would be a legal issue using that name due to Marvel. Nemesis Kid has powers that work for a villain but he would be way too obvious of a heel turn given the name. Storm Boy fits the Brainiac label as he is augmented by tech, but I don't think he would be that interesting of a foe for Supergirl. So Mon-el has the advantage of being a worthy foe and a surprise twist.

I’m not liking this new DC direction at all… They killed the previous universe, which was great, with the Apokolips War and have migrated to the tomorrowverse. In the Green Lantern, they made Al the bad guy (yes, I remember he played the role of a villain in the comic at some point by being in powered by parallax), now in this rather mediocre movie, they made Mon-El the bad guy…. DC has enough villains that they don’t need to mess up one hero to elevate another.
