This is the best Dalila I have ever heard. So sweet, sensual and powerful - but not over the top like so many others. I can't stop playing it over and over. I like the part when Eleni smiled playfully when Cura started to sing - would love to hear the story behind that.

Realmente no se que decir cuando vuelvo a escuchar este pasaje de Sansón y Dalila, mi mente vuela y se hace parte de cada nota. Solo sé, que nunca había experimentado una sensación similar al escuchar una aria de ópera, tal vez en mi juventud sentí algo especial al oír a Victoria de los Angeles y Mario Sereni en La Traviata, pero escuchar a Eleni Voudouraki en esta aria tan hermosa y muy conocida, me deja una sensación extraordinaria y difícil de describir. Solo puedo agregar: Gracias por llevarme a tal altura.

Wow this melted my heart. I have loved Olga Borodinas version with Jose Cura for soo long and only just found this version sung soo many years later but just as beautifully. Eleni, you are magical and clearly Jose thinks so too ❤.

Wow just wow. Sublime. Eleni is magnificent, and Jose Cura, a new discovery for me, is blowing me away with his radically unique tenor interpretations generally. I've probably heard 60+ version of this aria, and this and the one he did with Olga Borodina are my two favorites. Thank you.

I thought the same. Either the microphone is not well placed or Cura's direction is very weird (probable, too).

El dirigir la orquesta a la vez que cantar un "dúo de amor", le quita concentración a José Cura. Prefiero el dúo que hicieron con OLGA BORODINA (rusa) en un ensayo, y en la ópera en sí. Es como si estuviese cantado a la vez que usando su celular. U ocupado en cualquier otra cosa, aunque tiene JOSÉ CURA ya mucha experiencia en esta ópera: "SAMSON ET DALILA". No me deslumbra Eleni Voudouraki. Son mejores y más expresivas otras mezzo-sopranos.
❤...pero hoy en dia tal como estan las cosas en cuanto al machismo a mi me asustaria llamarla Eleni en lugar de Dalilah😮😮

Es como "hacer el amor"... mientras se habla por teléfono... y para peor, en "conferencia"... con más de una persona. Les falta expresividad y no están concentrados.

È la prima volta in cui, finalmente, si sente la presenza speciale dell'arpa e di altri strumenti che, in genere e per privilegiare la " Voce" , vengono messi in ombra ! Bravi i cantanti, anche se personalmente preferisco la passionale interpretazione e il caldo timbro da mezzosoprano dell'immensa Shirley Verrett, la quale maggiormente esprime la forza e , direi, l'inevitabile potere della femminile seduzione .
Realmente "fuego griego"
Hay otra escena similar de José Cura en la web con la mezzo Polina Shamaeva, pero sin duda alguna Eleni entrega no solo una dulce voz, sino que también su capacidad histrionica que hace de esta aria algo memorable. Realmente hermosa, primera vez desde niño, que siento envidia por un cantante, como hubiese soñado estar en lugar de José Cura.
Es el dueto más hermoso que he escuchado en mi vida, vibrante, bello con una entrega que refleja a dos enamorados. Para mí ha sido un revelación escuchar a Eleni Voudoraki y José Cura en este dueto, aria que hace muchos años desde niño escuché con otros cantantes.
