A lot of girl groups sound and what they have to offer hasn't changed much in the 10 years I've been following kpop. I've seen this type of thing from girl groups several times over. On the one hand I like it but at the same time I'm bored by it because I've seen so much of this type of thing. Even parts of their dance are similar to Brown Eyed Girls Abracadabra MV's which came out in 2009. A lot of dance moves become similar after a few years of watching people dance. Just like the Yolo dance from GOGO from bts (which they got from a famous youtube video) is used a lot nowadays. A lot of boy groups have similar moves to. But it is really the context of how these moves are used together to make a new one. But I do agree after watching kpop for 8 years it has become a challenge to find new sounds and new ideas in groups. But I personally think that Momoland is a little different compared to the cutsey or sexy girl groups which is nice :)

Well I think BTS was purposely trying to add something recognizable because the backpack kid dance had recently been a viral thing. The move from Brown Eyed Girls to me is like doing Gangnam Style dance, if you do that move for anyone who was a kpop fan back then they're going to think of the Brown Eyed girls song. If male groups can continue to keep it fresh and have changed a lot in the past 10 years and girl groups have not you can't really blame it on the challenge of finding new ideas.

Well what I was trying to say is that almost every choreography has a part which is similar or the same than another dances. I don't see enough similarity in Abracadabra and Bboom bboom in their dance to say the choreography is unoringinal. I do agree that girlgroups are being to similar lately compared to boygroups in music, but not with dancing. I have seen a lot of similarities in smaller boygroup dances as well. But I do agree that if there is no girlgroup coming with something original it could turn out to be a very onesided industry :(
