They probably knew, not many teams were playing Bang Bloodhound AND Wattson apart from Reject. They simply didn't have a good position

Unless it was like a 6v3 against Reject in the last circle, it was almost impossible to eliminate them over there. Both C9 and Serenity would have to move at first and none of them had cover. Reject had Wattson Zen behind them. So, ults wouldn’t help that much. The only way was if all 6 of them had started shooting at them and it’s just illogical. Reject didn’t 3rd party the last fight, they had wiped out both C9 and Serenity without taking any considerable damage.

TSM's strongest asset is Hal's zone calling and positioning. But in this meta where you have to upgrade your shield, (cause you won't be able to hold a spot in the central zone with white shields) isn’t really as significant as it was before. If TSM plays it as they used to, they won't even be able to hold their buildings. They had to take all the fights they could to have a chance (as they weren’t getting the zones on top of them) but they were never a fighting team. Aurora didn’t win a single game in this LAN and yet they were 2nd before the Final and most probably came 6/7th in the final.

DZ would've won this LAN in the 7th match if they were a little bit sensible. If you look back you'll find that they had played it somewhat passively (once they had the match point) on the last 3 LANs that they had won. Reject had a Watson on their team + they were on match point + they were in the match winning position. Then why would they run through the open ground to fight other teams? I will say they were the most balanced team throughout the tournament, who knew when to fight and when not to.
