Good that you are speaking about your rights. This police brutality has been happening for a long time in Kenya and it needs to stop. Even police officers can not be above the law. We are all equal before the law!

If no action has been taken against these rogue officers then it clearly shows where their order came from.

And other thing I have personally observed in the police from Coastal region Mombasa that whenever the police on patrols when to do anything against the law they normally remove their force number and name badge. And when as a Citizen u ask them name of the individual police who held u they fear why did u ask their names and they give u false nick names. Is this UTUMISHI KWA WOTE???

Apart from receiving bribes hakuna kitu ingine these guys know. Ata hawana tactics za kupigana na security or how 2 handle security issues. Very poor police service! Shame on them! They just need 2 know nobody fears them,its just respect we give. We fear only God. And once we loose this respect we are holding they guys will run to look for jobs uko mashambani hawatawahi tamani kazi ya polisi tena. So kenya police should have maximum respect to the members of public and serve them with honesty and they should keep in mind this service is not a business as they operate it. Kama unataka kumake pesa just be a business person not a business person in police uniform.

If they don't introduce themselves n tell u the reason why they want to arrest then fight them back, that is called self defense.
