I've heard the first story before, and I still think the mom did it out of spite. She does not like OP or Op's fiance and the marriage is a sham. What a narcissistic horrible person.

they're grown adults, they're not each other's step siblings. that only applies if you're living at home together while growing up in the same house. OP should go no contact w/mommy dearest and uninvite her to the most fabulous 'step sibling' wedding of the century. party it up and do some curses on mommy dearest for extra measure. and lasagna stealing sister story: they're not a McDonald's. they shouldn't have to provide travel food for their family. that's bonkers. toss sister in law out and grab the lasagna out of her grubby greedy hands.

Story 1 I feel like it's kind of almost sort of ok that she married her daughter's fiancé's dad, but definitely weird. The thing that makes her undoubtably the asshole is demanding her daughter call off the wedding since it would be weird to marry her stepbrother. Honestly I feel like the OP should cut her mom off because her mom is not only horrible but things would be really awkward at family reunions and she sounds like she already has a stepmom who is without a doubt better than her bio mom. Edit: I wrote this story before finishing story one and I now realize that Mr. Facts said basically the same thing.

I had a friend growing up that told the daycare worker that farmor (fathers mother) and morfar (mothers father) were picking her up and the worker told her that no, it's either mormor (mothers mother) and morfar or farmor and farfar (fathers father), my friend were the one in the right, as they met at their kids wedding and fell in love. Nothing wrong with it, they obviously shared the type with their kids.

Why do people think that people are doing things on purpose? When the easier answer is human complacency? The random underwear and socks are stuck to the side of the drum when they add their close to the laundry and they wash those random left behind underwear and socks. And then only notice it after everything is dry. It's super common. Nobody is doing anything on purpose. We're just not paying attention to details while doing laundry.

Story 4. Lets assume she found he was still on the app through non nefarious means. She asked, he claimed it wasnt anything. Fine. But you don't just blindly trust people. It's fine at first to do a little testing so they can earn your trust, to give them a way to earn it. She did that, he failed. If he had passed and she deleted the account and put more trust in him, fine. A little underhanded, but it's very early in their relationship, they haven't even met yet so, no harm no foul and he's earned her trust and eventually she'd earn his. If he'd passed. So all in all her actions were fine, his were, obviously, not.

This exactly. My roommate and I did this in our college apartment. We regularly had a girl throwing her laundry in with ours because she didnt want to pay. Usually we just left the stuff on the laundromat floor. When she ruined some of our clothes because ahe just threw whatever in, being a red bra and some granny panties, we took them with us. We then dressed up a pillow in the the bra and panties, added sumglasses to complete the ensemble. We took pictures with the pillow GF like on yhe couch drinking and laughing, in the car like the pullow was driving and we were scared. We put them up ob yhe apartment bulletin board and left the clothing with the office manger. It becer happened again, from anyone.

@@tarrantwolf If someone is logging onto your personal device to delete apps that is a controlling mental case. Even with your own theory that would mean the relationship was so early that she shouldn't take issue with him having it. Both were incredibly bad to each other. Like I said, doesn't mean the boyfriend is justified and he is absolutely worse here. However doesn't magically mean that the OP is a good person if she found out by snooping and then played spy instead of drawing a line then and there telling him to delete the app. There is no "opportunity" once you enter the threshold of making a fake account to spy on, or "test", your partner.

Some apps still actively show up publicly if in regular use. She could probably just tell by looking at her own profile on the app, which might be as simple as going over their previous conversations. Like, OkCupid for one example, if you check your previous conversations with a profile you can see whether that profile has been active. No need for anything nefarious.
